The X-factor was obviously Garrett making a phenomenal play. I mean if he even touches one of our OL as he leaps over, it's a 15-yarder. You can't account for that kind of freakish play.

Hard to do that when THEY ARE HOLDING YOU DOWN!!!!

Go back and look at the block FG, 2 of the Browns linemen held our guys down so Garret could jump over cleanly!! Fuckin crock of bill Belicheat shit that Bubba pulled out on us

Gay has been nearly automatic, I have little doubt he makes that FG and the Colts win the game!

Yeah, and really we should've just been awarded the first down.

If we were in the situation we've been in for years going back to sub-prime Vinatieri, I'd feel different. Or if Gay gets a shot and ends up shorting some of these long kicks, I'd feel different.

But he's boomed accurate, mid-50's kicks with plenty of extra room. I trust Steichen to perform whatever calculus, in the context of a given game, and decide if a long FG is any more risky than going for a 4th down near mid-field.

I wouldn't think freak Myles Garrett blocking the kick is typically part of that equation (especially since even he needed assistance).
