That reminds me of when some other Oriole fan claimed that Matt Wieters was highly overrated, and was an average at best catcher ........ and then proposed that they trade him for a top-of-the-rotation starter. Well if he was highly overrated and at best an average catcher, who in their right mind would trade a TOR starter for him ??? Do they think that the other 29 MLB General Managers are all deaf, dumb, and blind, and have no access to the Internet to see a player's offensive and defensive statistics ??? o |

JAFF you think Leonard looks like he can play? You think he is a positive force on the field? His career appears over. He may need time to come to that conclusion and end it the way he wants. If not at some point he will get cut. It is a shame but his injuries were devastating.

All this crying about Leonard. When his contract was made, he was considered one of the best LBers in the NFL. His injury has changed that, apparently for good. You can't get out of the contract and crying about it is just a waste of time. Bottom line, if there is a LBer on the bench that can outplay him, than sit Leonard's ass down and play the sub. If there isn't, just hide him as best you can and hope he gets some of his magic back. How many times must this board post how lousy he's doing? You'd think he was intentionally playing shitty ball and laughing all the way to the bank. Does anyone here believe that?

bitching about him playing poorly is justified. i don't have a problem that we paid him. but by having that cap number on a player that belongs on the bench is a problem. if he doesn't improve his play, then at years end he needs cut. |

I’m sure I am missing something. I like the Colts, thats my team to cheer for. All of them. I want guys like Leonard to succeed, he’s a Colt. We are only 4 games in and some here want to show him the door now. Why? He will be better than any street free agent. He knows the D system, he is by all accounts a good locker room teammate. If he cant come back from the injuries which occurred playing for the Colts, the staff owes it to him to give him the year to recover. I understand how the cap works. I wont guess what the Colts will do without more data that is not available to people like me. |

Not saying this is definitely the case with Leonard. As most of us have said, give him at least the rest of the season to prove he can get back to the player he used to be. But if Leonard doesn't get much better than what he's shown so far this year then it's probably best to let him go and put the cap savings towards other guys who are more productive. |

And who do you put in that roster spot that is better than Leonard. |
