Cardinals are selecting OL Jon Gaines

Damn, really was hoping we would get Gaines

CletusPyle 04-29-2023 01:07 PM

The talent on the top end of the draft might not have been elite, but this appears to be a very deep draft, and finding some diamonds in the rough in the 5th round is very likely! I am always optimistic at the start of every season, but I really think things are going to turn around for our Colts in a big way!

ChaosTheory 04-29-2023 01:13 PM

My theory is that Freeland isn't a pick for today. Physically, he's eerily similar to Raimann. Tall, athletic build, not a lot of starts but freak athletes. Raimann was a 9.81, Freeland is a 9.82 (great 10yd, and blew away the OL in vert and broad jumps). So definitely a project.

Interesting part is that I believe Braden Smith has no more guaranteed money after this season (I could be wrong). If Freeland develops like Raimann seems to be doing, we could have nearly mirror images at OT and save a lot of money by parting with Smith in '24 or '25.

For now, he could be serviceable as depth, but still needs to become a player. Pure speculation, but could be a contributing factor in selecting him over an interior guy.

smitty46953 04-29-2023 01:17 PM

The #Lions are trading starting RB D'Andre Swift, sources tell me and
@TomPelissero
, sending him to the #Eagles in exchange for draft pick compensation. With David Montgomery and now first-rounder Jahmyr Gibbs, Swift heads out.

The #Lions trade D'Andre Swift and a 7th in 2023 to the #Eagles for a 4th round pick in 2025 and a 7th round pick in 2023.

Freeland is a great pick. Interesting to see how that will play out with Raimann. Has Zavala been drafted?

Dam8610 04-29-2023 01:28 PM

Couldn't be happier with Round 4. Hopefully the Colts can get Zavala in Round 5.

Yes, 4.12 to Panthers  So has Jon Gaines to AZ

CletusPyle 04-29-2023 01:30 PM

Jones is a good pick up for the Bengals!

CletusPyle 04-29-2023 01:44 PM

Good for O'Connell, good solid back up for any team, and who knows, if he gets his chance he could do very well!

Colts select Darius Rush CB South Carolina

Darius Rush is a CB prospect in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.81 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 43 out of 2212 CB from 1987 to 2023. http://ras.football/ras-information/...South+Carolina

Pretty sure he was on the list I posted yesterday.

Did Cory Trice get drafted?

nate505 04-29-2023 01:58 PM

Ballard trades a pick. I'm shocked! Eventually he'll have every pick in the 7th round.

CletusPyle 04-29-2023 01:59 PM

Colts make a trade?

I think they picked up a sixth in addition to the 5th?

I like Cam Jones at 158!

If he hadn't of been hurt last season he'd already be gone!

Dam8610 04-29-2023 02:05 PM

DTR to Browns is interesting. Could be a steal. I doubt it's a sign they're concerned about Watson, but would be interesting to see him get an opportunity.

For now. But that 5th could be traded for two 6ths, and each of those 6ths could be traded for two 7ths, and then you can trade up with future picks for more of those 7ths!

I kid, I kid, it was just slight irritation for seeing that they had a pick right at that time and now it's a wait.

I’m sure we’ll get one before the day is out.

Not sure why Ballard and Co. would be so high on Fries. To be fair to him he played ok. Certainly better than both Pinter and Pryor, but wouldn't have? He proved he should probably have a spot on the roster, but it should really be more for depth than a starter.

I was hoping an upgrade would get drafted, but I'm beginning to think it won't.

Dam8610 04-29-2023 02:25 PM

Did the Guard from LSU with the high RAS score get drafted? If not, I'm sure he's a target.

I'm not qualified to answer that, but I am surprised Cam Jones is still there and he would be great pick up and would contribute right away!

You really can predict who he'll draft with the RAS website.
