HA! HA! HA! We don't have that anymore in this country, everybody thinks that they have the right to personal freedoms, no matter the detriment to their community.

Liberal or Conservative, they all have their agendas that are neither beneficial to this country.

It just baffles me with that much money and games on the line it seems like it would be a no brainer for these players out of respect for your teammates and their families at the least

Oldcolt 08-31-2021 10:25 PM

It is being reported that half the Colts starting offense is not vaccinated. This is not only going to be hugely detrimental to whatever chances they have at winning, I believe it is going to have a very harmful effect on the fanbase. With so many star players apparently anti-vaxx it will turn off many fans. I'll watch but I will not get emotionally involved with this team. When the Colts lose I'm in a shit mood. I'll be damned if I'm going to ruin even one day because of a bunch of anti-vaxxers. I don't see how I'll ever get joy out of rooting for Wentz. It will be interesting to see if Reich can keep this team from imploding on itself. I'm guessing he doesn't. Losing in of itself makes for finger pointing. Losing because some of your teammates refused to get a vaccine will piss off anyone who is a winner at heart even more.

nate505 08-31-2021 10:35 PM

Great, so many anti vaxing morons on one side of the ball. Fantastic.

nate505 08-31-2021 10:45 PM

Foles isn't an anti vaxxing dumb fuck is he? Can we trade for him and just cut Wentz?

With Elhlinger out 6 weeks, I'm surprised they cut Hundley.

There were a few interesting names cut yesterday if the Colts want a look at another young QB.

The two QB's drafted after Jacob Eason (4th round, Pick 122) in the 2020 NFL draft were both cut.

James Morgan (4th round, Pick 125) and Jake Fromm (5th round, Pick 167) were both waived yesterday. However, the Colts may be OK finding a vet as the 3rd string and just keeping him on the practice squad until Ehlinger comes back from injury.

Eric Fisher has tested positive for COVID-19 according to the USA Today Coltswire. Sorry, no link.

Yeah, that happened last week. It was announced that Fisher and Big Q were placed on the COVID reserve list - Fisher was placed on the list because he had contracted COVID and Big Q was a close contact. Big Q was activated off the COVID reserve list while Fisher remains on it until he recovers from the virus.

Oldcolt 09-01-2021 01:29 PM

Well at least Fisher will have some antibodies. Lets hope he isn't a long hauler. This is all so asinine.

o

If anybody knows ...... if a player who has had the virus and recovered from it but WAS NOT vaccinated in the first place, is that player treated the same as a someone who has been fully vaccinated in terms of NFL protocol ???

Thanks in advance.

Because the virus mutates, you can catch it more than once, so I doubt it would get them a pass

If this nation cant get its shit together, this virus will become chronic like the seasonal flu. It wont go away unless we crush it under the heel of mass vaccination

It’s not going away anyway.

We eliminated small pox and polio, and are very close to eliminating mumps, meseals, and rubella. This can be done, with or without the anti vaxers. Artificial selection will remove the people who rely on horse medicine

COVID-19 is more comparable to the flu than it is small pox and polio. It’s not going anywhere.

It has to do with the rate of mutations between them. Small pox and polio are relatively stable so once a vaccine is made it works. Flu and COVID mutate into new strains continuously. This is most likely with us long term.

Workhorse 09-02-2021 10:45 AM

They just activated Wentz, Kelly, and Pascal from the Covid list.

To open up these 3 roster spots, the Colts placed WR TY Hilton, WR Dezmon Patmon and QB Sam Ehlinger on the IR.

Aren't they sidelined for 5 days (ie two more days), or can they be activated from the list whenever but still have to sit out another couple days.

Keefer indicated that a few vaccine hesitant players recently decided to get the shot(s). Not sure if it was spurred when Fisher / Nelson went on the COVID reserve list or when Wentz / Kelly / Pascal went on the list. Those moves showed that it was rather easy to miss 5 days of work just by being a close contact with someone who was infected.

Mentioned this on the air with Kevin Bowen and Gregg Doyel this morning: I'd expect the Colts vaccination rate to climb in the coming days/weeks. Have heard a handful of players have decided to get the shot. Before you ask, I don't have names.

The 5 day period starts from the initial point of contact with the infected person. In this particular case, the exposure happened last weekend.

Well welcome to Freaks. I had hoped I was wrong.

BTW MR Glass has played the last 2 seasons and hasn't missed a game due to injury.. so there is that.

Mac Jones and Justin Fields have both looked good. I liked Jones, might be too immobile for Reich though. Reportedly they had interest in Fields. Him playing Lawrence would have been fun to watch twice a year.
