My sister is a social worker and specifically works in human trafficking and sex trafficking in Los Angeles and now San Francisco. She's seen the shit that doesn't really make the news. A lot of these girls in the spas come over and keep coming over again and again. They usually return home because their visa is up and they have to spend a certain amount of time out of the country. Then they come back over. They're mostly prostitutes and they can speak passing English. They have health workers come in and test them for STD's regularly. I'm sure there are some that got tricked, but these spas are open air-conditioned places. No one is locked up as far as I know. They're filled with pro's from overseas that make a fair amount of money.
