At the time, when I saw the first tweet, I was like "yeah right" but he wasn't over exaggerating, was he?

The best part is that they are all, excepting Castonzo, so young.

I've never seen a guard do what Quenton Nelson has done. That's why I was against drafting him so high, because the phrase "impact guard" didn't really make sense...until this year. I've now seen what an impact guard looks like. It looks like Quenton Nelson.

Obviously, there are a lot of factors that play into our O-Line turn around.

The O-Line coach talked about the room's attitude when he got here and how they were "hanging their heads." His coaching has obviously worked.

The buy-in from everyone in the unit has to happen for a turn around to occur. They have to be a unit to succeed and they have bought into it.

But, of the factors, having a guy like Earl Grey who came in and basically gave everyone permission to unlease their inner pancake maker in the most henious way possible was the spark that started the flame.

The turnaround of this group is amazing.....and has been stated:

1st year in league = Quinton Nelson, Braden Smith
3rd year in league = Ryan Kelly, Le'Raven Clark, Joe Haeg, Evan Boehm
4th year in league = Mark Glowinski
8th year in league = Anthony Castonzo

It's not like Castonzo is washed up; many OTs play well into their early to mid 30s and Castonzo will only turn 31 in Aug 2019. We can expect that he has 2 - 4 good years left on him.

Got to keep feeding that unit with mid round bodies to keep up the depth and let the creme rise to the top but, man, this is going to be a fun ride over the next decade. A great O-line makes all thing possible.

In 2019, we gotta pay Glowinski to stay. He has found a home in Indy.

He's clearly the exception that proves the rule. I feel sorry for the next team that drafts a guard in the top 10 hoping they're getting the next Quenton Nelson.

Exactly, because you can't draft a player with the expectation that they'll play at an all-pro level from day one, but that's the level of impact a guard would need to have to make drafting them top 10 worth it. I said when he was drafted that Nelson would have to be the next John Hannah to be worth it. He appears to be well on his way.

The only other two early-pick guards in recent history are Jonathan Cooper and Chance Warmack (taken 7th and 10th) in 2013. Both are still playing but have moved on from the team that drafted them. Cooper is on his 6th team.

Zack Martin was picked 16th, that's worked out well for the Cowboys. Beyond that guards seem to be picked 20 or later.

Seeing that clip of him pancaking Clowney is epic! And that wasnt the only time he made Clowney his bitch during the game
