Carolina has pulled the plug for now. Bryce Young has been benched in favor of Andy Dalton.

Through this season's two games, Young has a 8.9 QBR - that performance ranks dead last in the NFL.

Dating back to last season, the Panthers have scored just 13 points in their past four games.

That sucks but damned glad we dodged that bullet the way some folks were talking him up as if he was gonna be the 2nd coming....

Levis and Young are proving to be busts.

I think it's probably still too early for Levis, but agree on Young. In fact Young's looking like a Jamarcus Russell/Ryan Leaf level bust.

To make matters worse, Carolina gave up a haul in order to move up to the #1 pick in 2023.

The details are below:

Panthers receive:

2023 first-round pick (No. 1 overall)

Bears receive:

WR D.J. Moore
2023 first-round pick (No. 9 overall)
2023 second-round pick (No. 61 overall)
2024 first-round pick (No. 1 overall)
2025 second-round pick

Levis is old, for a second year player. He should be more developed than he is, given his age. The fact that he is 25, and AD is 22 gives me hope that we picked the right guy, and that Levis is what we see, and not a guy who can become a legit starter in the league.

No doubt, which is why I included Leaf in my comparison b/c SD gave up a crapload to trade up to draft him as well (and they only moved up 1 spot).

Agree that picking AR over Levis was the right call. I was just saying that I wouldn't throw in the towel on Levis just yet whereas Young is looking like he very well could be done.

Young is just inexplicably bad. It’s hard to believe he was seen as a top player in that draft, let alone the first pick.

I am hearing that Calahan is extremely frustrated with him, and that fans are upset that he directly cost them the chance to be 2-0 instead of 0-2. The word uncoachable was used.
