Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favor of Saturday returning as coach, but did we really see him as the Head Coach or just someone managing a sinking ship? It is possible that given the off season, some better position coaches of his choice and a good draft, Saturday might not do that bad?

I dont think anyone in the organization expected saturday to come in and really turn things around. I do wonder if irsay, based on his comments, thinks that saturday would make a good HC given a full offseason and own staff choices, implement his vision not just manage reich's leftovers.
I hope this is not the case and saturday was there to manage the sinking ship. but if so, why make all the declarative statements and claim him a "serious candidate?" |
