With a solid offensive line blocking for him, maybe.

39 year-old Philip Rivers had even less mobility than Ryan has now, and he had one final solid season in 2020 behind some good blocking.

Carson Wentz had some good blocking last season, and even he managed to have the Colts at 9-6 late in the season before shitting the bed in the final 2 games of the season.

Both Matt Ryan and Sam Ehlinger have both been battered, beaten, and shell-shocked playing behind what has essentially behind the antithesis of what Philip Rivers had in 2020 and what Carson Wentz had in 2021 ...... Ryan had his shoulder separated by the Titans in October, and Ehlinger was sacked 9 times ....... that's right, l NINE TIMES l by the Patriots in November before Jeff Saturday took mercy on him and reinstated Ryan as the Colts' primary punching bag ...... eh, I mean as the Colts' primary quarterback.

Zero chance Matt Ryan throws that pass successfully. Did TY do anything else?

Looks like Houston and Seattle are the only 2 teams ahead of us now that will definitively be taking a quarterback.

Note-at least we’re not Denver, who sent 5 draft picks and 3 players to Seattle for the privilege of giving Russell Wilson 245 million dollars and who are now tied to that turd for at least the next 3 seasons.

Oof.

That early season Denver win is really biting the Colts now.

So, the answer is No.

Well, if you want to get technical, Ryan could have gotten the ball to Hilton.

If Hilton went in motion while Ryan was calling the signals out of the shotgun, Hilton could have immediately run behind Ryan after the ball was snapped. Ryan could have simply pitched the ball backwards to Hilton, and the opposing team's defensive front would have tackled him for an 8-yard loss.

It would not have done the Colts much good, buy Ryan could have gotten the ball to Hilton if that were the sole purpose of the Colts' offense.

He drew a crucial PI penalty that kept a scoring drive going....it was a veteran move, in one game he did more than enough to prove that Ballard fucked up again!
