Wonder why they didn’t just bring back Money Badge.

Maybe he was insulted at how his stint here ended?

McLaughlin did hit two from 50+ plus for us during his last stint with the shoe. He is not great, but does have the leg strength. Get Adam to work with him. I know he still lives in Indy, I've seen him at some hunting events.

Earlier today Keefer wrote that the Colts thought that Verity had a higher ceiling than Badgley which is the reason why Verity was in training camp to compete with Blankenship. However, after a decent start in camp, Verity was a bit inconsistent down the stretch and Blankenship won out.

Badgley was in Indy for today's workout but the Colts decided to continue the tryout process with the two other kickers that they signed to the practice squad.

I'll never cease to be amazed that there must be less than 30 guys in the world who can consistently kick FGs. Thats crazy.

Read these (unconfirmed) stats today for Mclaughlin. Interesting how he struggles in the 40s. I would guess he is the one elevated from the PS.

New #Colts kicker Chase McLaughlin over his career:
0-20: 1-1
20-29: 9-9
30-39: 9-9
40-49: 10-21
50-59: 8-8
60+: 0-1

Total: 37-49 ( 75.5% )
Long: 57

Lucky for Chase, the Colts offense has experience with running a few extra plays and making the FG attempt longer.

They will just need to back it up to a 50+ yd FG attempt. :D

Whoa. I didn't look at his overall breakdown when I looked up his numbers. That's really bizarre. Perfect everywhere except in the 40's where he is awful.

Yikes....I'm guessing the majority of FGs in the NFL are in the 40s. Not good.

Perfect for Reich and his fucked up analytics. If the Colts have a 46 yard field goal attempt coming up, he will take a delay of game penalty to make it a 51 yard attempt. But at least that analytical makes some sense.
