He doesn't trust "Blanky-shi-" under pressure any more than we do. (which is not-at-all)

He was 2-2 up to then in the game and it would have been from ~33. Why risk pushing it back to anything further if you don't trust him to hit from there?

And if he truly doesn't trust specs to hit from 33 yards in the middle of the field he needs to tell Ballard to go het him someone who can. He won't get anyone who can hit from 55 at this point, but he sure as shit can bring in someone who can hit from 35 (Badgley, etc.).

It is not so much a "weakass leg" as it is folding under pressure, regardless of the distance. The guy would probably miss a 25-yarder if it was a win-loss situation.

and McAfee did it for old man Vinatieri

yea the kick was long enough, but it hooked right, looked like a screwball - he didn't get his foot on it right or something.

Even worse is Taylor had broken that defense a few more handoffs and he walks in for a TD again

A 33 yard FG straight down the middle should be an uncontested layup for one of the 32 best FG kickers in the world. If Specs isn't good enough to install faith that he will hit in then Frank needs to tell Ballard to bring in someone who will.

There was no need to even hand off again. Move the spot to the middle of the field and kick a 33 yarder for the win. Maybe Frank needs to bring in a consultant to make sure he's not being an absolute dumbass with his decisions.

That kick wouldn’t have went in from 33
