To a certain point I agree. But how many years of DL, Q, Defo, KM, BS, RK, can you waste? We've got to keep trying to find the immediate future.

Going all-in on other skills and having no QB is wasting them also.

My guess is that Fisher priced himself out of a contract.

For now. There is lots of time, and some competition. The Colts may get to the point where they move Smith or Nelson.

They should definitely move Nelson for draft picks before we overpay a guard.

No way is Nelson getting moved. Great players cost. We have what, 70 million in cap space and you think our issue is the extra 7 million (he already costs 13 million) that Nelson will get (I’m assuming he makes around 20 million a year)? I disagree I think it is crazy to trade away a guy who may turn out to be one of the greatest guards if not the greatest guard who ever played the game.

If you moved him to get a sure fire QB you might have an argument however. Don’t see that happening

He is probably going to get left Tacklish money and I worry he has back issue that is going to shorten his career, that money would be better spent regardless on a LT, skills or spread about keeping a strong line.

It is a risk, his back. The Colts will have to evaluate that with their medical team.

Is Big Q already in consideration for the Hall of Fame if his career was to end now? I am guessing not, as he just hasn't played for long enough, but i would suggest that the quality of his play would put him easily into the frame of contention.

Because getting rid of a future HOF for an unknown always works. Sarcasm intended
