Damn...Minshew deserves a lot of blame, but the OL is doing him no favors right now.

Why do we keep trying that WR screen?

That's making 2 very big assumptions.

A) ) The Colts' defense will necessarily keep the Jaguars from scoring the rest of the game.

B) ) The Colts will necessarily make a 2-point conversion if they try one after a touchdown.

You can argue that kicking the field goal was the right decision, but I don't think that it was a no-brainer when taking into consideration how crappy the Colts have played on both sides of the ball today.

I mean, they were down 13-31, which is 18 points. It's impossible to get more than 16 points on two possessions. A FG was definitely needed there. I don't think it's that debatable.

Would the Colts hold them scoreless and can they make a 2 point conversion? Probably not, but at the same time on that play you cut the number of possessions to two.

It's all a moot point though.

Steichen's team fights like a motherfucker- bodes well for the future!

Meh, that pick didn't matter that much. ) I'm not sure why they went for it being down three scores though, when one of the scores needs to be a FG.

B) ) The Colts would necessarily succeed on the 2-point conversion try after one of their touchdowns.

You can make the argument that they should have gone for the field goal, but I don't think that it was a no-brainer when taking into consideration how crappy the Colts have played on both sides of the ball today.

Lots of unforced errors today...this is a game the Colts could have won if they would have eliminated the turnovers!

I'm guessing that Anthony Richardson has mixed emotions about today's game ...... on one hand, he is a team player that wants the Colts to win ...... but on the other hand, watching his back-up shit the bed will make it a little bit easier for his eyes and ears, because there will be less calls for making Minshew the starter if and when Richardson comes back from his injury.

You shouldn’t listen to people that would make that call.

I don't.

But Richardson might. He is human, and he hears the criticism in regard to his allegedly foolish/reckless style of play, and/or his ability to be a solid, long-term starting NFL quarterback . He's played a total 4 NFL games, 2 of which he left with an injury.

This felt like a classic '22 Colts loss. 4 turnovers, limited QB, etc.
