Drake Maye and the Patriots are on the road in Buffalo ...... and they lead the Bills by a score of 14-0 in the 2nd quarter. o |

What am I missing?
I keep hearing that the Chargers HAVE to lose out for us to have a shot. But according to the playoff machine, DEN could lose to CIN and KC (reasonable) and if CIN beats PIT in the last game, we'd win a three-way tiebreaker over CIN and DEN. So two paths? |

I suppose so, and good research on your part. Even though the Broncos beat the Colts head-on, sometimes a 3-way tie throws a monkey-wrench into that seemingly insurmountable obstacle (a head-on loss.) o |

I just did the New York Times playoff machine ...... the Colts also get in with a 4-way tie with the Broncos, the Chargers, and the Bengals. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...event=wildcard o |

TODAY BUF @ NE (we want BUF to come back and beat NE) Week 17 LAC @ NE (possible with a cross-country, freezing ass cold game) DEN @ CIN (probably more important, because LAC inconsequential to us if CIN wins out) KC @ PIT (KC loss could come into play, see below) NYJ @ BUF (BUF win could come into play, see below) Week 18 LAC @ LV (can't see them losing, but also doesn't matter if they beat NE or if CIN wins out) BUF @ NE (BUF winning out would mean KC is still playing for the #1 seed) KC @ DEN (KC loss drops them to #2 seed, increases chances that DEN finishes 9-8) |
