They call him the Canadian Bulldozer...... hate to get in front of a bulldozer moving that damn fast lol

I’d rather they sign Jameis Winston than Rivers or Carr. Winston was always a bad fit in Arians downfield passing attack. I think he’d do well under Reich.

They need to draft one regardless. I’m with Ed, if you don’t have a qb, you draft one every year until you do.

The Bears have reportedly spoken with the Bengals about trading for quarterback Andy Dalton, but Chicago isn’t his only potential destination.

The Colts and Patriots are other teams that may have interest in Dalton, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

They should trade that first pick to us. Burrow would do better in a dome and afc south than playing in the weather and winds of afc north.

Winston's problems to way beyond BA's offensive scheme. Over 120 turnovers in 5 years is legendary bad!

Best news of today is this tidbit from Breer at SI:

https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/03/02/to...riots-nfl-comb

Quote:

Brady will have suitors. The Chargers are planning to look into landing Brady. The Raiders are too. The Titans’ situation is a little more complicated—the idea of bringing Ryan Tannehill back in 2020 really does appeal to them, and they need to make a decision on tagging him before March 12—but they’re fully investigating the possibility to reuniting Brady with his buddy Mike Vrabel. Bucs coach Bruce Arians threw his hat in the ring, too.

The Giants and Colts aren’t among those suitors. You can cross them off the list. I was told pretty emphatically that neither will be in the mix if Brady does make it to free agency.

I knew that the chances of the Cheater suiting up for the Colts was small, even with Ballard's affinity for Cheats QB's (see: Brissett, Hoyer).

I just think any association with the Cheater would be bad news. He likes to troll people - I could see him pretend to be interested in the Colts.....and string them along.......and then at the last minute re-sign with the Cheats. It would be McVisor 2.0. I could also see him carrying a bit of a grudge against the Colts because of Deflategate even if Grigs has left town.

Seems the Jags are franchising Ngakoue and he wants traded. Interesting move by Jack’s son Phil.

Makes Derrick Henry available without a tag. Add in Foles and Henry, draft Kinlaw 3tech and Brown as the 1tech Man that would be awesome

How does what Jacksonville does make Derrick Henry available?

They have $21 million in cap space. How do they resign him and sign draft picks?

Isn't he going to get a boat load as a front line DE?

If they can unload Foles. Not sure they can. The franchise tag for DEs is 19 million. So don’t know how they can sign their draft picks either if they tag him. Someone is getting cut.

They can tag him while they work out a longer deal where it will spread out the cap hit right?

Discflinger 03-02-2020 11:52 PM

They will try and trade him before the draft.

Sure, anything’s possible. But I think he wants out and doesn’t want to resign there.

Well either way, we don't have any chance to get him now. Even if they tag and trade him, they won't trade him to a division opponent.

If he goes to free agency they get squat. He holds out, they get less in a trade

The jags have painted themselves into a corner. They probably can’t figure out how to get out

Those morons messed up when they extended Bortles and have not recovered yet. They thought they were SB contenders, and went all in on the wrong guy, then added an expensive Foles who is on the bench. Glad I am not a fan of theirs.

Same here, but you could be they are looking for people to sit in the Tarp section LOL

Discflinger 03-03-2020 10:02 AM

Yeah, why don’t they rename them The Tarpons? It is Florida.

I enjoyed going to their stadium and watching the Colts beat their ass twice... once with Peyton and once with Luck.

I'm talking about this season. If they franchise tagged him, then we have no chance to get him.

They can still trade him and get something, but they won't trade him to the Colts.

Discflinger 03-03-2020 02:26 PM

We are the LAST team who would end up getting him.

Chromeburn 03-03-2020 09:45 PM

They traded Bouye to the Broncos. They have a ton of picks now and cleared about 11 million in space.

They could trade him in season they did it last year with one of their corners

Franchise tagged and then traded in-season?

Either way, it doesn't matter. They won't trade a good player to the Colts to help a division rival.

Chromeburn 03-04-2020 10:21 PM

Chargers trade Russel Okung to the Panthers for Trai Turner. Do the Chargers have a OT waiting in the wings, or does that now mean they will take a tackle in the draft and not a QB.

The Chargers drafted a Tackle in the 3rd round last year....he could be ready.

Or they could fill the hole via free agency.

Or draft another Tackle in the 1st or 2nd round this year.

Just another wild card early in the draft.

When is the last time the Jags did something smart? I understand it's unlikely, but with the Jags, stupid is always a possibility

It appears the Colts are moving on from WR Marcus Johnson......

Colts do not plan to tender wide receiver Marcus Johnson, per source. Johnson was restricted, but he’ll become an unrestricted free agent now, and he’s expected to get a lot of interest after the way he finished last season.

I can see us double dipping at WR in the draft.

I can actually see the Colts drafting a RB to replace Mack since he's on his final yr of contact. And Irsay says no talks are in the works and that it was fake news they were working on it

I wondered about that too. Deandre Baker was comped to Mack. But I can’t see a high pick spent on one. I think they liked the guy the Raiders took last year. But I don’t see a dominant back in this draft. The LSU back intrigued me, I think he will drop some bc of his pedestrian 40 time. Burrow called him the best player on the team. But he isn’t a breakaway back like Mack.

This move makes little sense. It's not like they needed the cap space, nor are they overflowing with talent at WR.

It's not like he will be in high demand. They can re-sign him at any time the desire in the off season.

Exactly, he was sitting there last year when the Colts and a dozen other teams needed receiver help.
