Racehorse 09-30-2018 04:59 PM

Block this

daedge 09-30-2018 04:59 PM

Meh. Ties suck. We had nothing to lose.

Maniac 09-30-2018 04:59 PM

Why do we always have stupid coaches?

The throw was close. Maybe off by a foot, or we get the first down and you all call him a genius

I say good on him for being aggressive.

Fuck ties.

WaynesWorld87 09-30-2018 05:01 PM

Seriously, what in the actual damn hell? Why, in f**k's sake, would you go for it there?

I hate ties, but a tie is better than a damn loss.

F**k me. Reich is a hell of a lot better than Clappy, but that was a colossally stupid decision.

No, I would call it lucky. It was horrible situational strategy

Not even mad. I said 6 wins this year in the middle of the rebuild. We're ahead of schedule as far as I can see.

Fine. We're not a playoff team so fuck it go for the W.

Really got to question Frank Reich now.

Ties are for fags. Good on Reich for going for the win.

o

I am.

I predicted the Colts to go 11-4-1 this season, and that was the potential tie right there.

Mr. Session 09-30-2018 05:03 PM

Not really upset about the failed 4th. Play to win. As others have said, "Fuck Ties".

What I do have an issue with is our 6th overall pick, a "generational talent", getting punked by Clowney for a clutch sack that ended up winning Houston the game.

Why not? We blew a big lead against the Bengals. We had a chance to win at Philly. We could have won this game. We could be freaking undefeated!

I just have no problem with the call. We didn't try and lose the game...it almost came off.

No it wasn't. He went for the win. Again we are not going to be playing for a playoff spot so might as well leave your balls out there.

Yes we did, draft position!! A loss means a higher draft pick!

Yes, good for him. Losses are much better than ties. We aren't going anywhere anyway, let's play to lose instead.

Grady and Joe, Dan, and JMV will have an entire week of content from this game. Free bonus for the local guys (Grady being in Brooklyn but Indy at heart). I'll listen to the podcasts

Yeah, given how close our losses have been so far has made this year more frustrating and upsetting than expected.

I thought this was a 5-7 win season. We did nothing of significance in the off-season with our immense amounts of cap-space to improve the roster, so the defense, on paper, is/was still going to be pretty putrid. And with Luck missing an entire season, I thought he'd have a very up-and-down year while he knocked off the rust.

However, all three losses were extremely winnable games and, knowing that information, not being 4-0 or 3-1 is extremely frustrating even though I thought we'd be doing good to go 2-2 in our first four games.

Blech.

Chromeburn 09-30-2018 05:07 PM

I agree with it. Fuck ties and the NFL new overtime rules. Go for the win. The NFL will probably change the rule next year with all the tie games this year.

You’re right, he looked completely lost.

Yep, it failed. But he decided to go with Luck, who was feeling it. I won't slay him for that.

Chaka 09-30-2018 05:10 PM

Seems like an insane call, but my guess is that Reich really didn’t want end up in a tie after the team fought back so far. He thought they deserved to go for it all.

He got bitch slapped. But Clowney had that generational tag also coming out.
