Whole staff------ fire all of them! Start this thing over!

Dewey 5 10-11-2021 11:31 PM

This just a bad football team

Just fire the whole damn staff now. This is unacceptable.

120 game precedent.

Blown

Amazing.

Dipshit won't even spend the mountain-load's worth of cap-space money we have. You can, and it's been proven, build a Super Bowl contender through free-agency; especially when you have as much cap-space as we've had the last two years.

Chromeburn 10-11-2021 11:32 PM

Just fucking disgusted.

Take the goddamn points. You keep losing these close ones because you don’t take the points.

NextManUp 10-11-2021 11:32 PM

Just kick the extra point Frank.

Brylok 10-11-2021 11:32 PM

Absolutely brutal loss. Will be very entertaining on Hard Knocks

We have better players... Don't kid yourself.... I honestly think Pagano got the shitty players that Grigson picked and that Pagano would have done better with Ballard players than Reich..... Reich is terrible!

No not really, offense put up huge yards, Wentz actually looks like he can do some real good stuff. Taylor Hines and Mack are killers. Pittman is a monster. Obviously we have tremendous players in Q and L.

We have the worst coaches as a collective in the NFL, all of them need to be terminated immediately, all of them.

I can't stress enough how bad this Coaching staff is.... Just fucking awful.

CletusPyle 10-11-2021 11:37 PM

The only thing missing in this game was for Stone Cold Steve Austin to pile drive Vince McMahon in the end zone after the Ravens final TD!

Luck4Reich 10-11-2021 11:37 PM

I honestly think this is a good team that has terrible coaches.. period.

njcoltfan 10-11-2021 11:37 PM

Frank looked like he was going to cry when he walked off the field!!

Luck4Reich 10-11-2021 11:38 PM

I kept wanting to see Blackmon knock the fuck out of Jackson... Actually now I want him to knock the fuck out of Reich.

They have durability issues. They lacked talent at corner even when they had depth. No defensive end has emerged as an effective pass rusher. The offensive tackle position is a mess.

This isn't a good team on a coaching or a personnel level. Maybe not a bad team, but they're definitely not fucking good.

I think I agree with this. We have bad coaches coupled with a brutally tough schedule to start the season. We've played four top 10 teams in our first 5 games with only one "cupcake" that would've been much less of a cupcake if they weren't playing with their backup QB.

Unfortunately, our 1-4 start against 4 top 10 teams just further highlights the fact that something about this team (mostly coaching) that we aren't a top 10 team which means we aren't really that close to being a Super Bowl contender.

njcoltfan 10-11-2021 11:42 PM

Year 5 of Ballards rebuild and still no fucking depth!!! Christ 25-9 and Eberflus blows it!! If anyone is replaced it HAS TO BE HIM!!

They have been in every game with a chance to win... The reason they lost each and every game was due to coaching. Period!

Stuck smack-dab in the middle most likely when everything comes out in the wash. Given how brutal our schedule has been thus far, and how bad our division is outside of the Titans, we'll probably still find a way to end the season with 6-8 wins. And at this rate, it appears Wentz is going to play at least 75% of our snaps this season unless we just bench him soon to go into tank mode.

CletusPyle 10-11-2021 11:48 PM

I wonder if the Colts should have let Sanchez try those last 2 FGs? This team has to go 9-3 the rest of way to get in the playoffs!

If healthy I think the offense will be ok. But Reich needs to take the fucking points when there.

If you can’t rush the passer you go nowhere in this league. This defense will not succeed without a passrush. They chose not to supplement the passrush with a FA veteran. They said “No, we have to play the guys Ballard drafted”. Which is bullshit. You earn playing time. If you can’t earn playing time you don’t deserve to play. Well this is the hole they dug. They can wallow in it.

I missed part of the game. Where are you talking about taking the points? On the 2 point conversion?

Yes. He didn’t need to go for two. They are horrible in short and goal situations right now. They are at the bottom of the league. Even if Blankenship is hurt. A chip shot is still better odds than a struggling offense.

They’ll be lucky to win 3 more games

Ok. Ss Blankenship was hurt. He couldn't get on the field for the first one, luckily we got a second chance. then he missed the second one. Obviously there was an issue. It was the right call to go for 2 there we were moving the ball at will. Maybe it was a bad play call but the right call to go for 2. Blankenship left 7 points on the field. Those plays changed the game

Chromeburn 10-11-2021 11:56 PM

The clincher in all this. We won’t even get a 1st round pick out of this season. We had to compete with ourselves and offer a 1st because Roseman, who had zero leverage, wanted one.

I think they will destroy the Texans next week! Beyond that, who knows...they are not as bad as their record for sure!

Puck 10-11-2021 11:59 PM

Funny as I read through this thread how everyone was talking about how great the D was playing then we lost 3 out of the secondary and everyone wants Eberflus fired .

It wasn’t the right call because we didn’t convert.

One of those misses was because Cambell blocked the kick. He was coming close all night. That’s on the line, not Blankenship. Blankenship missed a extra point but also made a 30 yarder. That last kick he missed was too far for him. They spent the last play running to center the ball when instead they should have been trying to pick up 10-15 more yards to get closer. They had a timeout left.

They could probably get into the playoffs by going 8-4 the rest of the way, with the division that they play in ..... especially if they beat the Titans in the rematch, and take care of business against the Texans and the Jaguars.

But I'm a "one-game-at-a-time" fan ...... all I care about is the Colts beating the Texans next week to improve to 2-4, and then I'll concern myself and my emotions with the next game when the next game comes.

They had a timeout left, but there was only 6 seconds left to play ...... they may not have had time to run a play to gain 10-15 more yards without the clock running out. They would have been cutting it very close if they took that route, that's for sure.

Only seen Manning do it a hundred times. Called a quick slant. You don’t catch clock stops. You catch and go down, everyone calls timeout.

Chromeburn 10-12-2021 12:12 AM

And pics circulating on Twitter of Maniac knocking the ball out at the goaline again at the end before Jackson’s knee was down. I’m done for tonight. Fuck this game.

Maybe, but unlike college football, the play is not over when you go down in the field of play until you are touched. If the Colts receiver caught a quick slant and immediately went down, the Ravens may have been smart enough to not touch him.

If anything, I think that perhaps they could have run a timing route on the sidelines with Wentz immediately throwing a looping ball as soon as he got the snap from center and hoping that the wide receiver could haul it in before stepping out of bounds.

You can’t do that and a player can call themselves down and call a timeout.

An out route takes longer and then you also risk interception bc they know you want to get out of bounds.

Really ??? I thought that the quarterback was the only player on the field that could "give himself up" and call himself down in the field of play without being touched by a defender. I guess the rules have changed if they now state that any player can go down in the field of play without being touched, and simply call themselves down.

Anyone can. It’s to prevent that exact situation.
