They should get rid of that "driving into the turf" rule ...... that's part of basic fundamental football that is taught going back to Pop Warner football ....... wrap the ball-carrier up tightly with both arms, and drive him to the turf to make sure he doesn't break away and get more yardage with a 2nd-effort.
The game of football is inherently violent ...... making rules to penalize the defense for doing their jobs ruins the game ...... the only way to make football safer is to play flag-football or touch-football.

And I'm not just saying that because I'm defending a Colts player ...... I started a thread last year, asserting that Demontae Kazee not only should not have been ejected from the game for his hit on Michael Pittman, he should not have even been penalized for the hit.

A number of posters here ColtFreaks sing a different tune when the penalty is called on the opposing team than when it is called on a Colts defender ...... not me ...... I don't like those calls either way, regardless of which team is being penalized.
