Not just RBs. Revis had the same problem.
Dumb contract IMO. No RB is worth $13M/season.

I agree with that in most cases, but CJ IS the Titans offense, and puts butts in seats. I think he had all the leverage despite probably not being worth the contract.

That is the fault of Titans mgmt for trying to force screw ups like Vince Young and Kenny Britt to be keys to their success.

They are paying CJ instead of a QB...the guy is awfully good...

He may be worth it the first few seasons, but RBs that carry the load often drop of dramatically. How good is he after a major leg injury? Tits really had no choice I guess, but damn there are a lot of eggs in that basket.

I agree. Don't know how far apart they were initially, but as far as I'm concerned, once a guy takes a stance on his contract, you either bite the bullet and give him what he wants or you never do. Waiting this much time and then giving him close to what he wanted is always a bad idea IMO.
