#Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds informed the #Browns he is declining an interview for their GM job, source said. Dodds, a highly respected executive, feels there is unfinished business in Indy.

Dodds is second in the Colts front office chain of command behind only Ballard. Agree about there being "unfinished business." It is a nice sentiment and excuse to decline the interview - but the real reason has got to be the unconventional and somewhat chaotic reporting structure in Cleveland. The Browns have already hired a new coach and both the coach and the new GM will report directly to Haslam. Chief Strategy Officer "Mr. Moneyball" Paul DePodesta also reports to Haslam. DePodesta's contract expires at the end of this season but supposedly Cleveland wants to extend him.

Hahaha I don’t blame him. They just go through coaches and GMs. No reason to go through that meat grinder, they don’t give anyone a chance.

Any GM or HC candidate for the Browns should demand a clause in their contract that states that they can't be fired for a minimum of 3 years. There's no reason to go there otherwise.

Piss poor ownership can't be cured with a contract. He was a minority owner of the Steelers and didn't learn a single thing. There's no fixing that train wreck. What is it about the boarder of Ohio that makes owners stupid?

There is always coaching types who are so arrogant they think they can out think the rich who are stupid. The stupid rich people can afford to be stupid. If you are smarter than they guy who signs your check, you should send out resumes.

Wow - this is the perfect fit.....Ryan Grigson has been hired by the Browns to serve as a special advisor to the front office. Poor Baker Mayfield.

Former #Colts GM Ryan Grigson is now serving in an advisory and consulting role with the #Browns, sources say. Grigson and GM Andrew Berry have had a strong relationship for years, and Berry values his opinion. Grigson had previously spent time in the #Seahawks front office.

This is the 2nd time the Browns have hired him since the Colts fired him. They didn't learn the first time.

Dorsey was the one who cut ties with Grigson. I think that was one of the first actions he took as GM. It appears that now that Dorsey is gone......the Browns are back to making fantastic decisions.

I get the impression Grigson kisses ass well. I think it goes far with the Browns owner.
