All about Q. If he plays and is at full health, we win in a squeaker 24-23. If he doesn't play or is limited, they fuck us hard 31-13.

He is the best player on the team, when he is there we can run and dominate clock and keep Watson off the field. Without him, our line is meh, we have a bunch of 3 N-outs and they get a bunch more possessions, and kick our ass.

This a big game as whoever wins is in the drivers seat for now. All of those bye week injuries is pretty concerning. Hopefully most of that was precautionary.

Agreed. I think Reich is going to have to loosen the reigns a bit and let Brisset chuck the ball around. Hopefully TY won’t be the only legit target out there on offense.

Colts Inactives for today's game:

DT - Trevon Coley
OL - Le'Raven Clark
RB - Jonathan Williams

I want at least 4 explosive pass plays from the offense today and for the defense to limit big plays for Houston. Make Watson put together 15 play scoring drives.

Kinda thought they might let Hooker take a few plays but guess not. Hoping Frank opens up the playbook a bit more and take a few chunk play long shots to keep everyone honest.

Also need a big day from Leonard, he has yet to play up to his rookie level this season.

I am also predicting a pick from Ya-Sin.

That was precisely the call that I was hoping for on 4th and 1 (misdirection, make it look like a running play one way, and then pitch it in the opposite direction), and it failed.

Hence, no complaints on my part ........ I thought that it was a good call that was stopped by an even better defensive play by the opposition.

Reich gambled with accepting that penalty on 3rd and 22, and I liked it.

If they had declined the penalty, it would have been 4th down and a chip-shot attempt for their kicker.

Reich instead made it 3rd down and 32, relying on his defense to (at the very least) prevent a 1st-down conversion, an (possibly) make it a longer field goal attempt.

Good call, at least in the short run.

2 consecutive bullets.

On the previous drive, the failed attempt by the Colts' offense on 4th and 1 gave the Texans possession of the ball in Colts territory.

Granted, that 2nd bullet that they just dodged was considerably larger than was the 1st bullet.

In regard to the call about DeShaun Watson being in the grasp ........ the quarterbacks have been so overprotected in recent years, it's kind of poetic justice that a questionable call wound hurting one of their teams.

I think that Watson is a mobile quarterback, and so I generally think that they should have let the play should continue in that particular instance ........ but again, being that there have been so many phantom roughing the quarterback calls in recent years, it's kind of like poetic justice that the protection of them finally wound up hurting their team, instead of helping them.

Long, sustained drives helps your defense rest.

The defensive end on the far side got a GREAT break on that 4th and 1 play ........ it was as closed to being offsides without actually being offsides as it could get.

So even though the interior lineman were the ones who got to Watson and pressured him to make an incomplete pass, the attention that the offensive linemen had to pay to that defensive end also contributed to the blow-up of the play ........ that's one of those things that help a team, but don't show up on the stat sheet.

I wouldn't say Mack is the issue. HOU is selling out for the run and JB is doing his job.

That was the first punt of the game for the Colts, and it's the 4th quarter ........ shades of the 2003 divisional playoff win over the Chiefs, a game in which NEITHER TEAM punted.

Intentionally taking a safety right there is mildly reminiscent of Game Five of the 1976 NBA Finals, in which Paul Westphal alertly called a timeout with 1 second to go to give his team possession of the ball at mid-court, even though it was a technical foul.

The Celtics made the free throw to increase their one-point lead to 2 points, and Garfield Heard made an amazing turnaround jumper to force triple overtime.

1993 - 1997 were the Larry Brown years.

I think Gar was an assistant coach for Larry Brown at a couple of his stops (besides the Pacers) - Gar was an assistant for the Philadelphia 76'ers and the Detroit Pistons when Brown was the head coach.
