View Full Version : KC is the 31st ranked run defense, 20th vs the pass

Just saying. They give up 203 yards rushing per game at Arrowhead. 186 rushing last week against the Lions, and 149 rushing per game on the season.

I don't see this game as unwinnable, I also believe in unicorns, but that is rather beside the point.

If the colts can play mistake free, with a heavy emphasis on the run, we can keep Mahomes off the field.

I would game plan this for shorter, higher percentage passes, a good bit of 3 TE sets, OL steps up and the run game has a big day.

I think it will be a rare event that we stop any of the KC drives, they are sharp as hell and will be torching us regularly, especially if we have Willis and Odum at safety, which it appears will be the case.

Keep em in manageable down and distance for defense and we have a shot. If Mahomies is patient and the colts are in zone he will kill them 7-10 yards at a time. 144 completions for 225 yards. Mediocre QB's will eat us alive. Put an elite QB in there and they are lights out on this D.

Chiefs opened at 10 point favorites. Surprised it's not more than that.

I dunno, you think about it and if we were playing the Lions we would think we had a decent chance. The Lions nearly got it done.

It's interesting to me that we done play them very often. 7-3 at Arrowhead since the Indianapolis Era. Played 6 times in the last 10 years and were 3-3.

You will be wrong and it shouldn’t be unexpected.

Chiefs can drop 70+ on the Colts defense if they want. Unless Colts have success running and keeping the ball away from that offense as long as possible.

I'm usually the eternal optimist, but I just don't see a scenario where we win this game. Hope I'm wrong........

None of that means anything in the real world.

I was at one of those 7 wins, though to me it was far more infamous for the game where Edge tore his ACL :(

I've been wrong 58,966 times since I joined Colt Freaks.

58,967 won't be anything special.

I see this as our only chance. Time Of Possession is often a misleading stat that doesn't correlate always to wins, but I cant see us winning this game without a lopsided win from a TOP perspective.

A chunk of that TOP win would also need to be from turnovers.

That was the old pats method of beating Peyton. I just don’t have the confidence in the defense to get three and outs enough and stop their quick stroke ability.

Brady always liked the guys on his team to have that quick stroke ability.

With all the injuries this week I wouldn't be surprised to see the defense give up 50-60 points Sunday nite.

The OVER/UNDER is 56 with Chiefs an 11 point favorite.
It is the highest O/U of the week with ATL/HOU @ 49 the closest.
Personally I see the Chiefs covering the 11 point spread but I would take the under. But close …

Chiefs 34
Colts 21

I just think this is going to be a weird game. 24 to 21 colts or something. It's likely my Friday night beers speaking. But definitely the under.

Brissett.

If Andrew Luck has a change of mind in regard to his retirement after a year away from the game, then a great QB will be available.
