I'm starting to think that we should move Hines to WR. He's easily the best route runner after TY. He catches almost everything thrown his way. Also, I would like to see what Jonathan Williams has to offer.

I disagree
I like him right where he is

Imo, he is used best by moving him all over the place

The Colts were short on WR's and Rbs yesterday. I think they need to run him out there more often, especially if Mack is in the backfield.

Hines had what may have been the most memorable game of his young NFL career to date.
Last year when he was a Rookie, he rushed for 78 yards on only 11 carries in a 42-28 win against the Raiders ........ but today's record-breaking feat of returning 2 punt returns for touchdowns really made an impression.

I’m seconding anyone who said get him on the field. Slot, out wide trips with TY. He makes plays

Hines had one of his many standout games in this 2020 season.

Hines had a solid season-finale today, including team highs in both catches (6) and yards receiving (50.)

Let me clear the air on my original post. At the time we were down to Zach Pascal as our #1 WR.
With Mack and Wilkins at RB, to me it made sense to move Hines to WR temporarily, not full time.

I think Hines is a special player. I'm a long long time Colts fan, so I go way back to when Lenny Moore was playing. Hines is a lot like him. Equally talented in running and receiving. He should be in there more even when Taylor is in as a flanker back.

I agree he should be in the game a much as possible.

Good comparison with Hines and Moore.

Both RBs in at the same time would give defenses fits.

The Colts could do a lot of interesting things out of 12 personnel from the gun. Having a RB who is a threat to run or catch the ball on either side of the QB would be a difficult thing for a defense to defend. I think it would stress a defense in terms of personnel groupings they put on the field. Put traditional 43 or 34 personnel out and you risk a mismatch on a pass. Put nickel personnel out and you risk Taylor and Hines gashing your run defense repeatedly.
