How would you feel if Colts could add him?

No fucking way, remember that great trade with the Browns !!!!!

There are worse trade ideas. Elliot would see more 7 man fronts because they could not stack the box like they currently do. No one is afraid of Dak.

Don't see the necessity of it, but I am higher on Mack than most I suppose. No question a line-up of Luck, TY, Zeke, Ebron, Castonzo, Nelson, Kelly- there's a lot of all-pro or near all pro talent right there, enough so that if you don't win the SB it better be due to 2 of those guys losing a leg or something...

What would we give up? They must be thin at TE right- if they have Witten at the spot and he's actually getting time (I saw he had a catch in PS the other day so...).

Wouldn't be upset with this but also won't be upset if this is all there is to it...

I would want Ballard fires if he did this

I mean why not trade for Khalil Mack, Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham and Iron Man while they're at it?

First off, I think the evidence that they will trade him is thin at best.

Second, how does he fit with the vision Ballard has conveyed: to develop young talent and use our cap money to keep them here.

And fuck that, sure Ezekiel Elliot had 1400 yards last year, on 304 carries. Do the math and you come up with 4.7 ypc. The same ypc as Marlon Mack.

We paid MM $645,000 last year, JJ paid EE $3.8 million.

We are not saving our cap space to blow it on a running back. If we were going to do that LeVeon would be starting for us. He cost zero except money.

And Elliott isn't a culture fit.

I would not take Zeke if he was given to the Colts.

The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has done back-flips and somersaults to cover up, or smooth over that which could not be covered up, what Zeke has done since he's came into the league.

Ballard would not put up with what Zeke has done. If you don't know all the antics Zeke has had off the field, perhaps you should google it, they are quite numerous.

Plus the fact that he is still in his rookie contract and crying about the money he's getting? Everyone in the NFL has to get paid by that rookie pay scale. And it's not like he's getting 4th-7th round rookie $, He was drafted top 5, and get's nearly 4 mil this year. Next years 5th year option is nearly 10 mil. Jones has probably paid out all this excess money that Zeke wants, just to keep his off field antics under wraps.

Granted, now that he has played 3 years in the NFL, he is allowed to have an extension offered. But generally stars are paid not only for what they bring to the field, but how you represent your team off the field.

This 1 single report explains that he has been in at least 4 police reports since 2014. And this report was posted in 2017.

His latest incident involved a confrontation with police in May that end with him in hand cuffs! And:-----

"The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with Mr. Elliott to reinforce the standards of conduct expected of him and the consequences for failing to meet those standards."

Do you really want a player where the Commissioner personally had to tell your player to straighten up,...or else??

Two of those guys were available and the third might listen to offers, but getting him from the Avengers would be pretty tough.

Depends on the price and what he wants, how long a deal he wants.

its not a horrible idea but I would not tie up long term cap money on him or any NFL RB anymore They aren't worth it.

Also depends on what Dallas wants in a trade. If they are asking 1st round picks, no, not worth it.

If Ballard were to do this he would completely undermine the entire foundation he's worked 3 years to build.

When Kahlil Mack, Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell were on the table and we get Devin Funchess, it convinces me that there is zero chance for this happening.

That's not the reason. It's about MONEY. With the O line, and Mack et al, the team will be fine.

It's a terrible thing to say, but you can find running backs late in the draft. This is the Money Ball of football.

Well here are the numbers, basically about $55 million over 4 years, offered by the Cowboys so far, between Gurley and Bell.

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys-ezekiel-elliot-contract

based on that, its a hard pass. No

Too much bread for the little shaved Neanderthal unless you are a team that lives by the run.

Well now that Luck is retired, maybe it happens.
