@AdamSchefter
Eagles acquired DT Hassan Ridgeway from the Colts in exchange for a 7th-round pick (246).

Getting crowded back there. I wonder if there is aFA we are looking at. Suh?

I really hope this is a precursor for signing Suh as I’d argue we aren’t crowded at all at DT.
Now it’s Autry, Hunt, Grover Stewart, and...

Good trade. Ridgeway probably wasn't going to make the team anyway.

No way we bring in Suh. Stupid trade. No reason not to bring ridgeway to camp.

I will say I'm starting to feel like Ballard Under values the D line more than I would like. I want him to prove me wrong but haven't seen it.

He has talked a lot about building the lines, so you would not think so, but he sure has not done much yet.

Why not Suh? He can play. They have cap space.

Ballard has seen 2 years of Ridgeway, I think that he knows if the guy has a future as a Colt or not.

In three drafts he has drafted 6 guys for the DL and signed Autry. And he might have signed another guy, (kept Hunt) that's about 20% of the aquired players since he's been here.

Still hope Jihad Ward pans out, ton of potential coming out of Illinois in 2016 was 2nd round pick (44th overall). Maybe nothing …
Good news, problem solved. They signed an UDFA from Northwestern who's a DT. Call it a day :D

He won’t spend the money on Suh.

Agreed. Plus he wants those reps to go to draft choices. He chooses guys that have potential but need work. They won't improve on the bench

What draft picks? They don't have any draft picks that play DT, and they traded Ridgeway.

I'm guessing that we're moving Lewis inside now, and that the DT rotation as it stands is Hunt, Autry, Lewis, Stewarts, and Ward.

I need to be more exact obviously. By draft picks I meant recent draft picks and young players that are still in the developmental stage, not necessarily draft picks that have occurred within the last 72 hours

Why not?
1. Cap space, not a problem. Suh has played the last couple years on 1 year contracts, by his choice. So it's a one year hit. They have $59 000 000. Give him $10 000 000.
2. He makes the D better, even if he is rotated. Go look at his stats, he had a good year last year.
3. Is there any other FA DT on the market right now better than him?
