Per La Canfora:
If Chargers host Colts, game could be moved to LA Coliseum. However, if Rams also host Eagles in NFCCG, the NFL could host both at the Coliseum and hold one game on Sunday and one game on Monday next week.

I think that the NFL and the Chargers made their beds, and now they should sleep in it ........ and if that means an AFC Championship game in which there are 18,000 Chargers fans, 6,200 Colts fans, and 800 empty seats, then that's the way it goes.
The Chargers wanted it (the move, and the surrounding circumstances), the NFL allowed it, so they ought to live with what they desired and what they got.

I moved out to CA last year, so I'm pulling for whichever option gives me the best tickets. More seats at the Coliseum would probably work out better for me.

I've been in the Coliseum and you could get seats that look good but it will be as if you are sitting in Briggs Terrace.

Yeah, older, outdoor stadiums aren't nearly as good viewing experiences as newer stadiums. The NFL got so big that they could demand stadiums be built strictly for football.

Let's just hope the NFL has to make the call.

I think b2b games at the Coliseum would be historic. Forget the Monday game, just treat it like the Thursday/Friday games of the NCAA bball tourney and sell 1/4 of the tickets to fans of each team.
This is assuming it's Colts/Chargers and Eagles/Rams. I feel more confident about the AFC turning out that way than I do about the NFC.

It doesn't matter. Colts and Pats will both win. Then we go to Foxboro and pound their junk in to the ground!
I mean total domination on both sides of the ball. This is what I want, and what every Colt fan should want.
I know who the tougher team is. Do you?

That is so fucking stupid if it happens. They chose to play in a soccer stadium. They can play a championship game in one.

Why is the Rose Bowl not an option?

I think that he is referring to the fact that if they do have to make the call, the Colts will be playing in the game ........ in order for the Chargers to have home-field advantage in the AFC Championship game, the Colts would have to win today. If the Chiefs win today, the game will be played in Kansas City, hence the NFL won't have to make the call.

The Rams did their part, but the Colts and the Chargers didn't do theirs ........ so unfortunately, the NFL won't have to make the call now.
It's too bad that things didn't play out that way, because in addition to seeing our beloved Colts in the AFC Championship game, it would have been fun seeing Goodell and company squirm and twist trying to camouflage the embarrassing situation in which they created with the Chargers' move to Los Angeles.

It also would have been nice to play an away game where the home team has no real advantage. Sigh!
