I think Tom Brady would make the pro bowl even if he was out there for the year.

Also 5 alternates Named.....

Among those who have been selected as Pro Bowl alternates for this year's game: defensive tackle Denico Autry, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, center Ryan Kelly, linebacker Darius Leonard and quarterback Andrew Luck.

It is a crowded field anymore in the AFC with QBs.

Rivers
Luck
Watson
Roethlisberger
Brady
Mahomes

You only get 3, and they all have their merits, as much as I hate some of them.

Luck should be in the top 3 their though, really second behind Mahomes.

Certainly ahead of Watson, Roethlisberger, and Brady.

Rivers is having an amazing year. The gap between he, Mahomes, and Luck and then the rest of the AFC quarterbacks is wide.

Brady sucks.

I will say that with all the bitching on this board about how Ballard just shit the bed by not spending any money on free agents he did land one pro-bowler and one pro-bowl alternate thru free agency last year. Is the bitch about results or the fact that he didn't spend a lot of money?

I'll also add... why the fuck does Brady get selected? He turns his nose up at it every year and then he hasn't played that well this year but still gets in.

Oh I forgot Brady and Kraft suck a lot of ducks to get what they want.

If being a douchebag disqualified you from the Pro Bowl no Pats player would ever make it.

Really though Brady is the one that does not belong this year. If it was Luck, Mahommes and Rivers, would be fine with it

Generally I agree Rivers as a player, and the Chargers as a team, are ones that never seem to live up to the hype.

Rivers is generally a good but not great QB. He is not a QB of the caliber of Manning, Rodgers, I hate to say it but Brady, Roethlisberger. The people who mention him as a HOFer are delusional. Of his era he is like a low end top 10 QB, not HOF material in the least.

But he has had a great season

And we will see if the Chargers can live up to their reputation and record in the playoffs

I'd personally love for the Colts to have a chance for the Chargers in the playoffs as the underdogs this time.

On the topic of Pro-Bowl snubbs, here is a stat that I found incredible:
DARIUS LEONARD, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Replace: Jadeveon Clowney, Houston Texans

Leonard got the unfortunate distinction this season of being in the same category as outside linebackers who play a completely different position. Still, Leonard rushed the passer 38 times this year and has seven sacks while Clowney rushed the passer 501 times and has eight sacks. Leonard is one of the most complete and dynamic playmakers at linebacker today. Leaving him off for all edge rushers is comical.
Holy crud, really? 7 sacks in only 38 pass rush attempts? Incredible.

I love this kid. A true home run by Ballard.

Seems legit to me! Luck could throw 40+ TDs and doesn’t get voted in.

I just saw a show on him, NFL films I believe. Some sports doc show and I thought ”Really? Was he good enough to get a show like this?”
Seems like a very nice guy. But he did hardly anything. If he didn’t play for the Cowboys, say maybe Buffalo. Does he even get any accolades.
