The Colts today signed free agent safety J.J. Wilcox (formerly of Cowboys / Steelers / Jets). The team also signed LB Tegray Scales to the practice squad and placed LB Skai Moore and DT Al Woods on the Injured Reserve list.

Damn, losing Al Woods could hurt the next two weeks trying to slow Barkley and Henry.

Hasn't Stewart been getting most of NT snaps lately anyway?

I know Ridgeway is not a true NT, but it might be time for to step up and contribute.

Snap counts last 4 games:

Stewart: DAL 21 (30%), HOU 22 (31%), JAX 15 (26%), MIA 13 (25%)
Woods: DAL 16 (23%), HOU 18 (25%), JAX 15 (26%), MIA 13 (25%)

Fair. But can you lean on Stewart to double his snap count, or will there still be a net loss in production?

All I was saying was that it would have been nice to have Woods against these next two opponents. Hardly going out on a limb there.

Yeah, the Woods loss will sting a little. But if you were going to lose a DL, he was probably the one you could most afford to lose.

My guess is that we will see Hunt, Autry and Lewis playing more interior A gap alignements and try to shoot the gap to draw the double team.

Stewart and Ridgeway can do that as well but they excel more at lineing up at the 0 (heads up on OC) or 1 tech (on the shoulder of an OC) and then trying to beat their man to win the interior position.

I have a lot of faith in our D-Line coaching that something good will happen to compensate. They kids have come a long way this season.

They are not going to promote Collins from practice squad this season, are they?

I didn't see losing Woods. I think that's a fairly big loss.

Just saying. Having Hankins right now would be nice.

Eberflus said weeks ago he is not right there in the training intensity and consistency. he need to step up his training to be part of the 53, same reason for Turay getting less reps last few weeks !!!

Although not a replacement for Woods, Turay needs to pick it up on the practice field and get into games. Gotta love how this staff holds people accountable.

I like the Tegray Scales pickup. He was a guy I thought would fit into our system.

Will miss Woods, although I have thought Stewert was playing a little better than Woods this season. Still like Woods vet experience more.
