Saw this on twitter and liked it. Preaching accountability.

Love the honesty from Colts new o-line coach Dave DeGuglielmo. "When I got here, their heads were a little down ... they weren't walking around like roosters with their chest out and singing a good song. They were very melancholy when we started."

His update on the group: I'm a line coach, I'm never going to like what I see... completely. Our goal is not to let anyone near (Luck) at all... Who's in there is in there.. we're not going to cry about who's not there.

That dude got shafted by McDickless and is now coaching in traditionally enemy territory. He knows he's already suspect with the fanbase and he needs to produce.

Or he's a professional doing his job. I doubt he cares about our past rivalry or fan base thoughts

Fan base? The HC and GM (if they have their act together) don't care about what the fans think. The line can't block, he's getting fired because he has ONE JOB. Keep Luck clean. A good running game and solid pass blocking. A lot of little things add up. IF the fans had any say, how did Pagano last so long.

Because the cancer storyline bought him extra years...

3 seasons of 11 wins each bought him extra years...

Jim Irsay watching his father fire coaches as owner bought him extra years...

And, honestly, him getting setup to be the fall guy for last year's 4 win season bought him one extra year...

Heck, he never had a losing season until his last. 11-5, 11-5, 11-5, 8-8, 8-8, 4-12. Six years, one losing season. Honestly, he was a terrible coach but a ton of NFL teams would love to have a six year stretch where they only had 1 losing season.

Lots of factors as to why.

Walk Worthy,
If that's the case, why isn't he coaching somewhere ? He sucked as a head coach, that's why, Andrew Luck is the reason for those winning seasons, as soon as Luck wasn't on the field they looked like shit.

You must not have a high opinion of Tony Dungy, then, because without Peyton Manning, his teams would've looked like hot garbage.

Uh, yeah. What Coltsair said.

Pags was a terrible coach. I have zero desire to have him associated with the team and am not surprised at all that he is not coaching somewhere else.

But, the question was "why was he given so much time" and I listed the factors that I believe gave him those six years as a head coach. Debate the validaity of them all you want but they are compelling factors.

And, yes, Andrew Luck was another huge factor of why Pags had the job for so long.

Except for the time he coached teams to a conference championship game and four playoff appearances and four playoff appearances without Peyton Manning?

Irsay would be my guess.
