Post your predictions for the upcoming season here.

Mine are,
1. The Colts will finish the season somewhere between 4–12 and 9-7.

2.Luck will not start every game. He will get injured at some point.(I pray I’m wrong on this one.)

3. Mack will get hurt as well.

4. Leonard and Hooker will establish themselves as the only 2 good young players on an otherwise horrible defense.

5. Hilton will struggle more than expected without Moncrief opposite him.

6. Colts will once again be in the bottom half of the league in sacks allowed.

I will add more as I think of them, but needless to say, I think the upcoming season will be challenging.

4-6 wins

Ebron will have a big year

The defense will be comically bad.

Luck will struggle early on as he tries to get back in sync with his receiving corps

I honestly have no idea what will happen. I think the same is true for most of us, but I predict that there will be a few Chicken Little types and a few on the other side.

Team will finish 8-8.

Luck will have 4000+ yards and 30+ TDs.

The OL and DL will continue to be a weakness. Bottom part of the league in sacks and sacks allowed.

Jordan Wilkins will emerge as the primary back with Mack as the 3rd down back when healthy.

Ebron will be a huge red zone target with double digit TDs

Colts will be the tale of two halves of the season. They will look like complete garbage in the first half to a decent up and coming team in the second half. Miss the playoffs, but make a long shot run at them but miss out barely.

Win the AFC South Division.

Win the divisional playoff game.

A barn-burner against the Broncos in the AFC Championship game will go right down to the wire ........ I don't know which team will win, and represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

This is all on the premise that on Andrew Luck stays healthy for AT LEAST 14 or 15 of the regulars season games, plus the playoffs.

So went Bert Jones, so went the Colts.

So went Peyton Manning, so went the Colts.

So goes Andrew Luck, so go the Colts.

9-7

Defense will be bottom 1/3 of league for the first half of the season and will rise to middle of the pack by the end of the season.

Offesne will start a bit slow but will be top ten (perhaps top five) by the 2nd half of the season.

Luck will have a career year with primary targets of Hilton, Doyle, Ebron and the RB committee.

No RB will have over 800 yards but we will rush for at least 1600 yards combined.

O-Line and D-Line will be respectable all season but will both rise in the 2nd half of the season.

6-10

Rough rebuilding year as the coaching staff sorts out the roster to build on.

Lose to all of the teams we are "supposed" to lose to and few we should not.

3rd in the AFC South

On the bright side, we will start seeing more and more smart play calling that highlights the talents we actually have on the field.

Despite the poor outlook for the season, I am optimistic for the future and look forward to watching the process this year as the coaches and players gel. New OC and new DC after all.

I will add more later but for now I predict a blowout on Sunday when we get to see the real offense on the field

Colts 31 Bengals 17.

Bengals will be behind the entire game and will have to go pass happy to catch up Defense will pick off the RedWeiner 2 times and have 3 sacks

BOOM there it is!

I predict Luck and competent coaching will add 3-4 wins over last year despite a roster that's still full of holes (7 or 8wins total)

I predict I will enjoy watching this team a hell of a lot more due to new and less predictable game plans.

I predict this team will perform better in the 2nd half of the schedule as the youngsters grow and develop (both players and coaches)

I predict AV will surpass the 2 kicking milestones he is chasing and in the process be responsible for kicking at least 2 game winning field goals.

I predict Colts 24 and Bengals 23...........go colts!

3-5 wins probably drafting in the top 5 again.

FatDT

I'm sticking with 7 wins.

Bad defense. Bottom 5 in total sacks. Maybe more INTs though if Hooker stays healthy. With the helmet rule I'm expecting defenses to be down league-wide.

On offense though I expect significant improvement over last year, even with Luck rusty. Lots of 2TE, especially if Castonzo misses time. Hilton should have a great year, but I don't think any other WR will sniff 700 yards.

I think we'll have a better run game than we've had in a long time. Better plays, better blocking, better in-game strategy.

Better coaching decisions, especially in crunch time. Not a high bar there.

I can see that from the photo, Sherlock.

It's a sports drink, so I didn't think that anyone would split hairs unless they were looking to be obnoxious.

I easily could have used this photo, but I thought that the one that I cited was cooler because he wasn't sitting on the sidelines and injured.

31-16 Bengals. Luck gets sacked minimum of 4 times with at least 1 pick because it still doesn't look like he wants to throw it away.

The Colts did not go 11-4-1, but they still have a chance to make it to the AFC Championship game (as per my prediction), and maybe the Super Bowl.

The choice not to take the tie against the Texans in Game 4 wound up being the difference in winning and not winning the division, but without Reich I seriously doubt that the Colts would have been in contention as they were (and still are), so I accept the good and the bad ....... there was ten times as much good than bad with Reich, especially compared to Pagano.

oNo, it didn't. We could have stopped them and didn't. Yes, it was a dumb call (unless we made it, then it was brilliant), but not getting shut out against the jags would have produced the same result. I hate hanging the outcome of 16 games on one play. Its just not fair. We converted a 4th and 2 tonight, our season was.hanging in the balance more than the houston play.

And beside that. The Colts were moving the ball at will and they had the right call made to pick up the 1st down. Just a bad pass by Luck. But Reich set the tome for this team that we will be aggressive and he showed them how much he believed in them.

It was the right call..... C&O just cant give up on it

Way off on the wins and about the defense.

Yes, the season doesn't hang on just one play. But the team had more control over that play (and that game) than any of the others.

Also, comparing going for it on 4th and 2 tonight was considerably different than doing what we did in that game. There's a fine line between being reckless and aggressive, and that was a prime example of being the former.

It was rare bad call, made by an otherwise excellent coach. That's why I stated that I accepted it for what it is, in regard to the season overall. I'm not bitter about that game or that call, I'm simply critiquing it.

You know, I thought we should revisit this thread to see how close people were, and then I remembered that I didn't have to go looking for it and I waited for Colts and Oreos to do my light work for me.

Edit: Wait a minute. This is not the right thread. C&O panned for fool's gold.

There is no "right" thread.

Numerous posters (including yourself) posted in this thread at the beginning of the season, in addition to posting in Smitty's stickied thread.

Smitty's stickied thread was primarily soliciting what the Colts' final record would be.

Hoopsdoc's OP was not just soliciting the Colts' final record, but any and all other predictions about what will happen during the season.

So not winning the division because of the tie actually helped us. We go to the Chiefs and not the Pats where we all know they cheat and have a huge advantage

Yes the Chiefs game will be tough but I think the Ravens can beat the cheats in pussboro
