This is a big hire. Retired from the same position with the Bears in 2015. He had a really good reputation in Chicago. The Bears have seen a significant uptick in injuries since he left the organization.

Edit: His title is actually "Director of Sports Performance."

Per Arthur Arkush:

#Colts are hiring former #Bears trainer Rusty Jones as their director of sports performance. Big get for Chris Ballard. Needless to say, Chicago has sorely missed Jones since he left following 2012 season.

Hope he fixes the injury issues plaguing this team for years.

Also, this: https://deadspin.com/5949846/the-air-humping-chicago-bears-assistant-coach-is-really-gross

The author of that article gets all worked up over nothing. It's funny to me though that this is one of the first Google results on him.

He can sexually assault as much air as he wants if he helps guys stay healthier than they've been the last few years in Indy.

Hopefully this one actually improves the overall team health. The last one didn't.

Awesome. About time that they realized there was an issue there. This is hopefully a big step in fixing that.
