These are the kind of games that have the potential to be heart breakers. The colts should be heavy favorites but they aren't, the Titans are inexplicably only 3 point dogs even after the rams embarrassed them last week.

To me, both the broncos and Dolphins are better than what I have seen of the Titans. Our depth at WR+Warren should tear them apart downfield, they gave up 6 YPC last week, JT should feast.

Still, 11 quarterbacks and 6 years since Luck retired, I don't think anyone will be shocked if we lose this game.

The caution is that the Colts have had a tendacy in the past to play down to the level of their competition time and time again.

If this thing is real with the offense, then this game will look a whole lot like week one where we took the game in hand early and never let go.

We will see. I am cautionally optimisitic that Danny Dimes can be the real thing and power an offensive cast that just needed a solid QB to run well.

Time will tell.

I think the guy has passed every test so far. He needs to keep stacking good games. First game was how well he has a grasp of what Steichen wants to do with this offense and second game he handled pressure very well. The other major strike against him is that he cannot really bring a team back from a deficit. Hope we don't have to find that out this week. I am just optimistic and have thrown caution to the the wind. He has been way better than average. I still love AR though.

I don't like the fact that the Colts have to play this game in Nashville ...... I think that the Colts should play all 17 of their regular-season games in Indianapolis.

The titans look downright awful, like worst team in the league awful, so for the colts not to be heavily favored means people aren't convinced yet about the colts.

That's fine, I an resigned to the fact that I'm ready for this team to tear my guts out again.

I think it was Bootleg where I saw a statistical analysis of whether Jones has gotten better or if it's just being in a system conducive to his talent with far more support than he's ever received previously. The conclusion they came to was that it's a little of both. Having better talent obviously helps, but Jones is making throws he's never been able to make before, in part because he's never had the pieces around him like he has here to be able to rip a deep ball and have the confidence that he'll have the time to make the throw and the receiver who can go get it.

The Colts are heavily favored. It's not a 2005 Colts line, but the line I've seen is Colts -4.5. Vegas usually has a home team adjustment of -2.5 toward the home team, so that tells me Vegas sees the Colts as a 7 point favorite, and they'd be -9.5 were the game in Indy.

This could be l "Separation Sunday" l ...... can the Colts beat the Titans, and subsequently create some significant room between themselves and the rest of the division at such an early point in the season ???

Ideally the Colts and Texans win this weekend to give the Colts a full 2 game lead on the division.

Add in that the Tacks will be without their starters on the right side of the offensive line. If we can keep from turning the ball over, this should be an easy win.

The same Miami Dolphins team that the Colts throttled are now tied with the Bills in the 4th quarter at 21-21 ...... on the Bills' homefield in northwestern New York State.

Heard Ward has been sacked 11 times in 2 games. Man this is the game our line needs to get off and get the hell after him.

I'm concerned about our pass defense. There needs to be a strong pass rush to help out the DBs.

It looks like Latu will be back this week. That should help with the pass rush.

The only thing I'm concerned about with pass D is guys like Xavien Howard being forced into action because of injury...aka depth in the secondary.

Hopefully getting Ward back will be a boost.
and also hopefully Jaylon Jones can be re-activated in another month or so.

This ^. The colts are heavy favorites for good reason. If they can get some strong pressure and sacks I believe everything else will fall into place. I’ve got a lot of confidence in Indiana Jones because he’s patiently working within a system designed for him to succeed. I wouldn’t be surprised if we win 30-17 or by an even larger margin.

Tennessee is struggling, they have a rookie QB that is still learning how to operate the offense.

They are 0-2 and ESPN has them as #27 on their power rankings (we are #14).

If we cant come away with a win, then wtf are we even doing.

This reminds me of a prediction that I made for the Orioles in a 3-game series that they had with the Boston Red Sox 2010, which went as follows ......

"The Orioles currently have a record of 4-18, which is the worst in all of baseball. They have not had a winning season in more than a decade. The Red Sox are one of the best teams in all of baseball, and they have not had a losing season in more than a decade. The Red Sox have better starting pitching than the Orioles, better relief pitching than the Orioles, and a better offense than the Orioles. In addition to all of that, Oriole Park has become known as "Fenway South" because almost half of the fans in the stadium root for the Red Sox when they play the Orioles there, even though the stadium is in Baltimore ...... so based of all of that, I think that the Orioles will sweep all 3 games from the Red Sox."

Sure enough, the Orioles swept all 3 games from the Red Sox.

Ward and Warren are both off of injury report and will play.

I am concerned about our pass rush, or lack there of. I don't have confidence that the front four can put consistent pressure on. Tomorrow will be interesting to see how we go about trying to get pressure on the QB

The Tits QB is a rookie. Anarumo will blitz the hell out of him and confuse the fuck out of him...done deal!

If he doesn't, then he's just pumpkined into a Bradley clone and get the fuck out of town!

I watched the Titans game against the Rams and I think Ward is not that far away from being a very good quarterback. I feel like the Colts complete lack of a pass rush could provide the circumstances he needs to break out.

I think Ward will be a good player.

I didn't see him last week, but in week one he threw some fantastic passes and his WR's really sold him out.

We MUST go get him tomorrow. I agree with you, without a rush, this could be the game where he really gets going.

o

I would prefer the Colts and the Jaguars both win today ...... I would rather bury C.J. Stroud and the Texans sooner rather than later, because I think that Stroud is essentially the biggest threat to the Colts success within the division overall.

If that were to happen, the Colts would be up 3 full games on 2 of the teams in the division ...... then, they could focus on trying to break away that one team and that one team only for the next few games.

Stroud has regressed since his impressive rookie season. Lot of tape on him now to expose his weaknesses and his tendencies. He is a good QB, but he is not elite
