To all the loyal fans of the Colts:

A week from Sunday the season begins. We, the fans have low expectations for this season and that's probably a good thing. Can't really get that upset about an outcome you totally expect. At any rate, we'll all be pulling for our team and presenting our feelings on this message board before, during and especially after each game. So I just wanted to say before the season begins, BRAVI to all the fans on this board. Our team may be way less formidable than we were hoping it would be and our QB may not be named Manning or Luck, but we'll follow them, cheer for them all the way to the basement, even though we're hoping for the Penthouse. Give yourselves a cheer Colts fans, because our team may not be that good, but we fans are some of the best football fans there are.

GO COLTS!

Starting to get hooked on the "Blue Kool-Aid" once again. Hard habit to break! :D

Been a Colt fan since 1965. Watched Colt/Packer championship (we got robbed)with Matte at QB and was hooked. Have stayed with them even through the Bob Irsay era (had a woman laugh at me at a 7-11 when I bought a Colt lighter in the middle of his ownership). Stayed true through the move to Indy and actually shed tears when it became apparent that Manning was going to actually be a good QB (for me it was using his cadence to cause an offsides-our QB play was atrocious before him). For the first time ever I could care less about this year. This years cool aide has no effect whatsoever on me. No excitement, not looking forward to seeing this group play. Like I said this is a new experience for me. It has taken Ballard and this group 10 years to burn out my excitement for the Colts but burn it out they have. I have zero faith in this organization and could not care any less about Jones or what he does. My only real hope is that the new ownership will have their shit together and lead us out of this quagmire after this waste of a year. Its a total bummer

Hang in there Oldcolt. I've got a sneaking suspicion that Tyler Warren will make forget about John Mackey and Dallas Clark.

I also believe that the veterans hated Gus Bradley's defense. Kenny Moore was the first to complain, and Darius Leonard was the loudest against it. Buck even complained about the lack of accountability in a more vague way than Leonard.

I also believe that big Jim was to meddlesome in his final years, and that it was a detriment to the team.

I am hopeful that new ownership will bring a new better perspective. I know many loved Jim, he seemed to be a man with a good heart. His last years put the Colts in a bad place, there was essentially no owner. Very sick man, there is zero way he should have been running this team.

Old, right there with you. Been a Colt fan since '58. If I had any hope for this year, it would have been watching AR grow and mature, or shit the bed and tear it all down and start from scratch next year....................Again !!

This is similar to what I said about Daniel Jones ...... I hope that he resurrects the 2nd half of his career with the Colts in a similar fashion in which Jim Plunkett resurrected the 2nd half of his career with the Raiders ...... I know that it's a pipe-dream, but I won't stop dreaming.

I like Ballard's analogy of Jones having an Alex Smith type comeback over the Jim Plunkett analogy.

I'll go with Plunkett, and 2 Super Bowl appearances.

The Colts are 0-10-1 in their last 11 season openers ...... it feels like when I was a kid rooting for the American Leaue to win the All-Star game ...... the National League won it for 11 straight years from 1972 through 1982, until the American League finally broke through and demolished the National Leaguers by a score of 13-3 in 1983.

They did it !!!

Just like the American League demolished the National League in the 1983 All-Star game to end that seemingly endless losing streak, the Colts demolished the Dolphins yesterday to end their own seemingly endless losing streak. )
