Basically, throw out the LAR game, and it's Aggressive Colts Defense (good/acceptable) vs Conservative Colts Defense (giving games away)

I hate to agree with Venturi, but he's right: this team isn't good enough to have a base four-man rush and drop DBs off into zone. They need to always be sprinkling in that fifth rusher, and they need to play more sticky-man coverage.

Its hard to judge much on 3 games.

My feeling though for the D is :
1. The secondary has a bright future. If you get Davis, Wilson, Hooker, Farley and Melvin all healthy at the same time, get them experience and get TJ Green off the team so he can never step on the field again, its a solid group.
2. The DL is much improved with the current rotation
3. The LBers are still a work in progress. Still can't cover guys out of the backfield and have to be creative and take risks to get any pass rush

The #1 thing though is this D will still be held back until a better head coach comes along.

Absolutely, not sure we have the coaches to get creative with that.

Minor point, but I really don't see anything in Farley that suggests anything beyond special-teamer.

i agree other than you could probably attach solid backup to his credentials.

seems like a good player to have on the roster for a couple years.

Farley gives me a Melvin Bullitt-y vibe.
