In 1993, the Dallas Cowboys started the season at 0-2 and wound up winning the Super Bowl ...... but since the Super Bowl era began in 1966, only 6 teams have overcome an 0-3 start to the make playoffs ...... but not one of those 6 teams even made it to the conference championship game, let alone the Super Bowl. The last team to make the post-season after an 0-3 start was the 2018 Houston Texans.

Omaha can do whatever he wants in grading game threads ...... all I care about is whether or not the Colts win, and that has nothing to do with what fans on a website post. I stopped believing in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, jinxes, whammies, and curses a long time ago.

We'll see how this goes. After last week's shit show I'm not too confident. If the Colts play like they did last week then that'll probably go a long way in them giving me my Sunday afternoon's back

Last week, Gus Bradley clearly took note of my sardonic post about 10 men on the field and 10 yard cushions- and deployed my unique strategy to once again allow the opposition to have a field day in TOP. Great job Gus, listening to an internet madman to structure your defensive plan- great job!

This week, Gus will again follow my lead. He is at least going to get away from the 10 vs 11 players concept- which is a good start. This week however he is not giving those big cushions, well he isn't going to JUST TELL THE OPPOSITION that's what he is doing (like he does in every other game!) nope this week all 11 are going to be in the box coming out of the huddle. He is going to spice things up though with some confusion (smart guy). Just before the snap- CB's and Safeties will come to the line and put their hands in the dirt while all the DL will fall back into deep zone coverage. The LB's are going to run off the field, and will be replaced by offensive guards. We're going to go jumbo in the 2nd and 3rd levels. Gus is very confident Bryan and Grover will be able to cover Odunze and Moore with single high coverage support from Nelson.

Caleb Williams will go 97-103 for 568, he will run for 5 TD's, he will be awarded a 2nd Heisman post game.

Bears 57.3 to 2.7 TOP - I have stopped even talking about the score, that's a given, the more pertinent result is whether or not Gus can find a way to end up with negative TOP at some point this season- goals, gotta have em'.

In their last 10 season-openers, the Colts are 0-9-1 ...... they have not won their first game of the season since 2013, when a young man named Andrew Luck was taking snaps behind the center.

And so in recent history, the Colts have had a habit of starting slowly and then drawing us back in with a win Week 2 or Week 3 ....... the only time in that span (2013 through 2024) in which the Colts did not win their first game until Week 4 was in 2021, and they went 9-3 over their next 12 games that year before dropping their final 2 to finish at 9-8 overall.

A missed FG-attempt of 56 yards is a bona-fide stop by the defense.

It's bad enough that this sounds like a home game for the Bears ...... so the least the Colts can do is send those fuckers home to Illinois with a loss, and spare the Colts fans that are at the game the embarrassment and humiliation of seeing smug Bears fans celebrate in their stadium.

He made horrible decisions that first year. Double coverage triple coverage, didn’t care. Really in his first three he had a lot of int’s. He just threw out of it. He would say the only way out of a slump is to ride it out and keep slinging it.

2) Always remember the Texans wanted Young and were gifted Stroud by the idiot Panthers.

You're the idiot. The Bears didn't trade to #1 last year, they got the #1 pick because they traded with Carolina in the 2023 draft. The Colts could've made a similar trade and gotten CJ Stroud, they had a more valuable asset in the 2023 draft in the #4 pick vs. Carolina's #9 pick. If Ballard really wanted #1, he could've swung the deal. It likely would've cost Pittman, but oh well, you don't worry about things like that when trading for a franchise QB.

It’s actually common for strong arm guys. They will not emphasize fundamentals enough because they can power through the throws even when off base. Bad coaching lets it go. Florida didn’t have a QB coach when he was there. So when he really needs it they need to breakdown bad habits. He just needs to follow through and make sure his front foot is pointing at the receiver. It will take time. Off-season work.

That really sucks for the Colts' defense, but sometimes you need to go above-and-beyond the call of duty ...... there's going to be times when the defense needs the special teams and the offense to bail them out when they are scuffling.

I told my wife, there’s literally only ONE way they can bail the Bears out here and that’s exactly what they did.

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ.

The ONLY reason the Colts are even in this game is that the Bears are as comically bad as we are.

Dang, at least the defense showed up today.

We just keep shooting ourselves in the ass.

Honestly I don't think he touched it. Dumb challenge too.

JFC. Time to bench AR.

That's the worst thing to do. He needs the experience, and that won't happen on the bench.

When Peyton Manning was a rookie, the Colts were getting their heads handed to them by the Patriots by a score of 29-0 in the 4th quarter. Peyton Manning asked the Colts' QB coach (Bruce Arians) if he could take him out in the 4th quarter. Arians told Manning that that would be the worst thing that he could do to him, and told Peyton to go out and finish the game. Manning threw a TD-pass to avoid the shutout. Manning later stated that that was a very pivotal moment in his career.

IDK, can't you imagine this exact same thing being posted on the Bears board?

After that INT, yup!

That INT was poetic justice, after the referees blew the call on the challenge.

His fingers moved back. Steichen was right. That ball was tipped, but whatever

Great INT, defense.
