I expected them to use AR on the 4th down attempt. Either a sneak or just a keeper and let him fight it out.

So far I like that AR does not hold on to the ball. And looks like we can actually execute screen passes.

Pierce should’ve had that, couldn’t have been thrown any better

AR has looked really good on this drive. Nice pass that was dropped, perfectly placed. Also nice run that was negated on that penalty.

Yeah, Pierce needs to hold onto those. Bit concerning that he's dropped 2 now (although he drew a penalty on the first one).

Probably want to say that for the regular season. Although if the OL doesn't get any more push than they did on that play then it probably won't matter.

Our 2nd string OL is hot trash so far

It's ok. Ballard has foreseen that no one on our starting OL will get hurt. Except for Smith who apparently already is.
All joking aside I was disappointed to see how bad Ekiyor got schooled, but he's a rookie so I suppose it'll happen.

And with my boys Crystal City (Palace) winning earlier today that gives me a chicken dinner on that parlay :D

That's damn impressive by Newcastle! At least based on how well Ashton Villa was last season.

I know they said it is windy up there, but those should be close enough to make the wind a non-factor.

They missed OPI on that TD. Pick play with the WR pushing his defender away so he can’t make the play. Oh well, it is preseason.

No doubt. Just pointing out that Newcastle blew out a pretty good team and not someone at the bottom of the table. At least as of last year.

So Irsay has $ for Steven Stills, one of the Wilson sisters from Heart, and a few others I can't remember to play with his band...but he can't pay Taylor?
Just kidding. Joking.
Good to see Leonard playing again

Thank god Irsay's collectibles don't count against the cap.

Are you suggesting that Ringo's drums are worth more than Nelson? Jerry Garcia's guitar(s) are worth more than Pittman? We'd wind up getting relegated if it existed in the NFL?

I think Ehlinger has grown as a player, but still wouldn’t trust him working against a first team defense.

You laugh, but I see people talking about that whale Irsay saved as if it was taking money out of JT's pocket.

So I thought it was a decent day by the rookies.
AR threw that bad int off his back foot. But he settled down and started to look better as the game went on. Had a TD pass dropped and a run to the five called back. Overall what I expected for a rookie who is a work in progress. Will be a learning year for him and will get ugly at times. Will be fun to watch him improve, but thats me. I think fans need to settle in for a long season. On the bright side, we might end up with Marvin Jr at the end of it.
Blake Freeland played the entire game at RT and he looked good actually. Might have a promising young tackle here.
Darius Rush got and INT/TD off a tipped ball. All the corners drafted have shown a lot of promise. But they are going to get thrown on a lot. They will have to build off it.
Hull looked decent, getting first downs and catching the ball with soft hands.
Downs looks like he will be a good consistent WR in the league. He is just smooth out there. He should have a bright future.
