I wonder if the guys in that room know how lucky they are?

Wow, did you see Ballard's face when the ARZ trade was announced? He started to shake his head in disappointment... And then a second later say it was HOU, and he looks surprised, excited, then relieved.

Ballard is as straight a shooter as you can find in the NFL at gm. It is obvious that Richardson was the one he wanted. Now we get to finally see how good Ballard is at evaluating QBs. I'm betting pretty damn good.

A couple of observations:
Ballard absolutely owns the draft room. Every scenario has been hashed out days in advance, so that there is no debate on draft day and Ballard makes the selection.
My favorite selections outside the 1st rd were, Brents, Downs, Adebawore and Rush.
Has Irsay gotten his hair dyed? What happened to the gray. He has to walk with a cane now?
Damn Steichen looks like a cross between Adam Gase and Andrew Luck. Hopefully he performs more like Luck than Gase.

I have officially drank the Kool-Aid. A whole gallon of it. I haven't been this excited since 2018 if not longer. Feels weird, man. Let's GO!

I gotta agree with ya Brylok... The more I read up on these picks, I cannot help but think we are contenders once again. Gots me a tentpole in my sweatpants thinking "We Are The Champions". :D

Glad it worked out, but that was awfully risky staying put. Unless we had Levis ranked close to Richardson, but after seeing Ballard's reaction and how far Levis dropped then I doubt we did.

I totally agree. I would not have had the balls to stay put. It worked out and shows why Ballard is way better at this than me and my views. Big balls move.

No doubt. Ballard is top notch when it comes to the draft. It is interesting how much risk he's willing to take on via staying put in the draft, trading down, and trusting the current players on the roster will work out vs. free agency and trading up in the draft where he is very risk averse.

Well, I'm gonna keep my expectations low and my hopes high.
