At 158, Colts go safety: Daniel Scott out of California.

Daniel Scott was drafted with pick 158 of round 5 in the 2023 draft class.

He scored a 9.94 RAS out of a possible 10.00.

This ranked 7 out of 976 FS from 1987 to 2023.

Scott's season is done - he tore his ACL during OTA's. The Colts placed him on IR today.

In the grand scheme of things, this move will probably help with roster management - with the large draft class, there will likely be one or two draft picks that will be cut.....and hopefully make it to the practice squad.

Colts place rookie S Daniel Scott on IR, meaning his first season is over before it could truly start.

Scott was a fifth-round pick out of Cal. He spent 6 years with the Bears.

"I think my football instincts are second to none," Scott said after he was drafted.

It is June on the calendar and Scott's season is done.

Really tough break for him - the coaching staff was praising his work during the little time he was on the practice field this off season.

Colts HC Shane Steichen says S Daniel Scott tore his Achilles and is out for the season.

He missed his rookie season last year with a torn ACL.
