In 2011, the Colts had a record of 1-13 heading into a nationally televised game against the Jaguars at home on Thursday Night Football. Not only did more than 64,000 fans show up at Lucas Oil Stadium, but they were going absolutely bonkers on the Colts' final, game-winning touchdown drive which left only 19 seconds left to play when Dan Orlovsky hit Reggie Wayne with a 1-yard TD pass ...... if one didn't know that the Colts' record was 1-13, you would have thought that a playoff berth was on the line for them.

Fast-forward the following video to 56:00 to see the crowd go bananas after the game-winning TD ...... Peyton Manning is rooting as hard as the maniacal fans were on the sidelines.

Plug for a new thread in the NFL forum ...... the Broncos have fired their head coach, Nathaniel Hackett.

http://www.coltfreaks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=255474#post255474

*************************************

Since winning the 2015 season Super Bowl, the Broncos have not made the post-season in 7 consecutive seasons, and have had 6 consecutive losing seasons overall.

The streak of 7 consecutive seasons of not making the playoffs after having won the Super Bowl is the longest ever for a franchise in the Super Bowl era (1966 through the present.)

2023 will see a 5th Broncos head coach in that span since that glorious 2015 world championship season ...... Gary Kubiak, Vance Joseph, Vic Fangio, and Nathaniel Hackett were the first 4.

It's super short, but so far Foles looks better than any other QB on the roster so far.

Foles looks a lot better than Ryan so far. At least he's not a rag arm.

nate505
12-26-2022, 09:31 PM
Huh, guess he is going to challenge it. I thought the contact happened before he got to the line (while he was going backwards). But hey, I hope I'm wrong.

Regardless, the spot itself was terrible. It was off by like at least two feet.

TheMugwump

Foles has so much stronger of an arm than Ryan or Ehlinger that the defense can't just play the short pass. Receivers have more space than they've had all year.

Now if Foles can just be accurate enough with the ball to get it to them.

Listening to Booger. I agree with him Tua needs to be shut down for the year. That kid is a head injury or 2 away from serious brain damage. I'm no DR thats just my thinking.

That's a horrible rule on the fumbled punt, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Colts fan.

I saw the same exact thing happen in the LSU-Alabama game earlier this year.

A team fumbles, and they get rewarded simply because one of their players who was out of bounds touches the ball ........ TOTAL BULLSHIT.

You should not be rewarded because you are out of bounds, and then you simply touch the ball. You should have to actually possess the ball to maintain possession for your team, regardless of whether or not you are in-bound or out-of-bounds.

That's a horrible rule on the fumbles punt, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Colts fan.

Totally agree, but at least they called it as the rule is stated.

Him and I don't see eye to eye on a lot, but his football knowledge is usually pretty solid.

Man, the HAD TO BE trying to lose out, had to be, either that or Parker Stevens may possibly be the worst OC in history- which given our futility all year...

Had good seats in the 2nd bowl with great angles. Early 2nd Quarter sack, we literally ran a 1 WR route- and it was a fly pattern to Parris. Pittman lined up to the left, but did not go out but instead came down to help block (and we still got sacked of course). Campbell was wide right and ran a DEEP post. He was still on the dead sprint at roughly the 40 when Foles went down.

We ran a play where there was only 1 option, ONE!

There was a lady sitting behind us and her statement was thus:
"No one on that sideline should still have a job, none of them, I would fire the water boys and girls both, they probably suck at their jobs too"

She is right! Been going to Colts games at a high frequency from the earliest of Indy days and not one time have I gone to a game, even in the hazy days of Biasucci being the best player on the team and it been so lifeless and meh...

This thing needs a full gutting!

You can't be surprised the offense didn't get better after they fired Brady and Reich.

The same could be said about Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, and Nick Foles ...... it's not surprising at all that with the offensive line that they had blocking for them, Ehlinger and Foles were no more effective than was Ryan ...... in fact, they may have been even less effective than Ryan.

Better is one thing, single outlet routes, holy damn man!

Maybe this Parker kid has been the real problem? Maybe he's some relation to Jim?

You all realize this is Josh McDaniels fault right? This whole mess isn’t such a mess but Dam Patriots got us again.
