Great segment on the Bowen and Query show, and it really resonated.

Cut away everything else, focus exclusively on these two things, the OL and the QB.

Ask the question are either Ballard or Reich proving they are good at what they were allegedly good at. Don't apply filters, establish excuses, etc... just look at the performance vs the expectation.

Ballard proclaimed OL master, gonna build inside out, etc...- We have started 9 different O-linemen this year.

Frank alleged QB genius, can get it done with inferior talent because he is a genius. Year after year after year the QB position has been a problem and we've reached a level where a 6th round draft pick is now the hail mary hope of the team. We are averaging 16 pts game in 2022 NFL pin-ball machine offense era.

Strip it all away and look at it from this prism. Nope, neither one of them deserve to still have a job, period, they are failures at their acclaimed strengths.

#1 on my list of culprits would be Jim Irsay for allowing his franchise to slip into mediocrity !!!!!

Newsflash: Jim Irsay didn't run things when we were good. That was all Bill Polian. I'm not sure what people expect him to do right now. Firing Ballard and Reich both would be ludicrous. Never going to happen. End of season at best.

What a steaming pile of horse doodoo.

You’d be hard pressed to find a list of the top 10 GM’s in the league that doesn’t have Chris Ballard’s name on it. He has done an excellent job of assembling talent. 7 Colts went to the pro bowl, for pity sake.

OL is an issue; but, as recently as last January, 3 of the guys he put out there were considered to be among the best in the league. As far as LT is concerned, I’ll admit it’s a gaping wound. But bookend Left Tackles don’t grow on trees. Give Ballard time, and he’ll find one.

At QB, you might have noticed that 2/3 of the teams in the league are beating the bushes, looking for one.

It's going to be funny watching you this offseason if Irsay is smart and doesn't listen to overreactionaries like you and whoever did this segment.

Yeah, if it’s as simple as the lack of a franchise qb means the GM and coach should both be fired, then about 20 teams are gonna be starting over every single year.

That’s just the truth.

I’m not sure I want either one of them fired at the moment.

I want Frank working with whatever quarterback we draft because he has a proven track record of getting the most out of the position, at least prior to this season.

And this season has to be Ballards come to Jesus moment. No more gambling on unproven quantities like he did with the OL this year and the DL last year. Spend the damn money to be sure.

The Colts are squarely in quarterback purgatory. It sucks because we as fans aren’t used to it, but it’s part of life in the NFL. We’ve been more or less spoiled since 1998, outside of the last 2 years.

Time to take our medicine.

Where does this narrative come from and why do people keep saying it? We haven't been spoiled. We were awful for years and finally got into a position to draft a proper QB and build a proper team and have success. Having competent people doing their jobs properly isn't being spoiled. It's literally what they're supposed to do. Not to jump on you, but that "spoiled" shit drives me up the wall. Are we just supposed to be like Detroit or Cleveland or some other incompetent shit just so we don't get spoiled? Madness.

Frank Reich's offense scores 16 points a game. We have the worst OL in the league.

Somehow these dudes are absolved of fault for continuously SUCKING at what they do?

You are this bad at your job, you get a boot to the ass and MAYBE an unemployment check. These dudes cast blame upon every one else and rake in millions.

These dudes are con-artists.

It's not a mystery where it comes from. We didn't hit the lottery. We hit the billion-dollar+ Powerball with Manning. Then after we had the winningest decade in NFL history... We hit another billion-dollar+ Powerball on our very next opportunity with Luck.

Massive tenures with an elite QB are fucking rare and lucky.

We were spoiled. The Packers have been spoiled. The 49ers have been spoiled. The Patriots have been spoiled. That might be all off the top of my head.

Firing people in mass was something Irsays father would do. And it never made things better.

Ballard has kept this team competitive without a Luck or Manning. His mistake was believing the rest of the O line was going to play to their abilities and make do with a lesser left tackle. No one was expecting the shit show that has been the O line.

This team has talent. Both sides of the ball. It may be that the talent needs a new voice in the coaching staff. Irsay will make that call. I would be shocked if it happened before the end of the season. The afc south isnt a power house of talent. The Colts D has talent, special teams gets better when Sanchez returns. I dont think people understand how he would flip the field for the Colts.

One of the down side of winning is draft position. Ballard has done well, finding talent. If the Colts are going to lose out, I would like to see him run the up coming draft.
