Saw a couple tweets that Odel Beckham Jr and the Colts are in serious talks. Isn't he recovering from an ACL injury?

Anyway, just passing on what I saw.

There’s certainly a lot of chatter.

I’m not sure how I feel about this if it happens.

His numbers the last few years arent great.

Beckham played eight regular-season games with the Rams and caught 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He was pretty damn good in the Rams Super Bowl run. He caught 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns before tearing his ACL. Sure would be nice for the Colts to have another veteran wide receiver. He might thrive with Ryan.

Still not sure how I feel about him either though.

I just can't trust it. Obviously he used to be really good, but he's also a known head case. Now he's older and coming off an injury. Money and length of contract might make a difference, but I don't trust it.

He’s a curious one. It’s difficult to assess his time in Cleveland, for me personally, given all the stuff about Mayfield.

I would rather they sign TY, but it does appear they’re going all in. It’s fine with me because this has to be Ballard and Riech’s last chance; coaches always said to me growing up to fuck up at full speed if I was gonna fuck up.

It would seem like an odd signing to me. You can't deny his ability, but he's displayed plenty of behavior that doesn't seem in line what the Colts tend to look for in players. Not that it's the type of thing that can't change over time.

Also, he tore his ACL (for the second time) in February. Quick end of that recovery time would put him back on the field at the end of November/beginning of December. He'll be 30 years old by then. So even IF he has the ideal recovery (at age 30), we're likely talking the final four games or so of the season best case.

I’d rather sign TY out of emotions but OBJ would be more of a threat on the field even if it is for the last 4 games and then playoffs

I would rather have a young kid with a “we” attitude than OBJ who has struck me as a “me” guy

Probably not fair, thats just how I feel

I agree with this 100%.... his injury would keep him out of camp, preseason, and 5-6 games.

I don't see the Colts org doing this. OTOH, I didn't see Philip Rivers coming.

Ballard kicks the tires and agent screams to the media that the Colts are hot for OBJ, trying to create more of a market.

This is the way the NFL works guys.

Let's just take a pass on OBJ.
