In his five seasons at Texas State, Patton had four defensive line coaches, three defensive coordinators and two head coaches. He started three games at nose tackle as a freshman in 2017 before finding a role as a starter.

He redshirted in 2020 to recover and rehab from a herniated disc and a torn pectoral muscle.

Last season, he earned all-conference honorable mention after totaling 51 tackles, four tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and 1.5 sacks in 11 starts.

Glasgow entered the NFL as a sixth-round choice of Indianapolis in 2020. He saw action in 25 career games in two seasons with the team and made 15 special teams tackles. Glasgow also appeared in one postseason contest.

Williams signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent last month out of Syracuse.

I'm really surprised Glasgow was let go this early. Does anyone know if he was hurt or maybe showed up to OTAs out of shape?

Yes, I was surprised that he was released this early in the off season.

However, I read that:

1) Glasgow did not participate in mini-camp - don't know if he was injured or was excused for some other reason

2) Apparently UDFA JoJo Domann took advantage of the practice time.

UDFA LB JoJo Domann made some plays this week. Glasgow was out all week.

Thanks. I had read somewhere that Jojo was looking really good in OTAs but hadn't seen that Glasgow has been out.

I predicted that Jojo would beat out Glasgow. Just never thought it would be before TC.

He still hasn't made the team yet of course.

The Colts have signed a few other players to add competition to the bottom of the depth chart of both the offensive and defensive lines:

The Colts signed DE Bryan Cox Jr. and OT Jason Spriggs. They waived DE Cullen Wick.

Cox Jr. has played 26 games over 5 seasons. Some experienced depth with Tyquan Lewis on the mend.

Spriggs is a swing tackle option who played with Matt Ryan last season. A 2016 2nd-round pick.

The Colts are signing veteran DE Ifeadi Odenigbo, per source.

The Colts could use a backup LEO and find a potential one in Yannick Ngakoue’s former teammate in Minnesota. Odenigbo played in the wide-9 front last year, for 26% of snaps.
