Wentz was loading up to do another backhanded pass.

Now reviewing. Either that dumb shit bails him out this time, or that dumb shit is costing the team again.

I don't know why I still have any hope....but a FG doesn't kill us here!

I'll have hope until the Colts are down like three scores in the 4th, but there's nothing about how the team has performed to give much hope. It's not like there's been a bunch of lights out play to warrant much hope.

I don't know why I still have any hope....but a FG doesn't kill us here!

There’s plenty of time left and not a huge deficit but the whole team will have to start playing completely different football from here out, and I’m really skeptical that will happen

No comment on the horrible decision of Wentz not to eat that sack?

We all know Wentz sucks, I guess it's just acceptance at that point.

That said, here is his time to shine. If he can lead the Colts to a TD on this drive, that will be big atonement.

Went, Nelson, and Hines for Russell Wilson

Nah, Wilson is toast. But I’m not sure what Hines brings to this offense anymore, he gets no YAC, and what good is a receiving RB who does not get YAC, and he’s been utterly mediocre when taking handoffs

So far, I think that 10 points is directly on the Colts' defense ...... I would put 3 on the offense for turning the ball over deep in their own territory, and 3 points on the referees for the awful pass-interference call just before halftime.

The Colts gave up a lot to get Wentz, which is a head scratcher since I don't believe there were any other teams competing for him. I gotta think Ballard was convinced by Reich that Wentz was the answer. Unless the question was "who's the shittiest QB in the NFL, he's not the answer. I have to feel that Reich has to go as well, because he put his faith in this POS.

This is sickening to watch.

I know that Reich really wanted to see Wentz resurrect his career here... This game should be the nail in the coffin. If Reich can't see it and understand it then we need a new QB and a New Coach. Ballard wake up or you need to be gone too.

Also really sucks watching TJ Watt this season... He was sitting there when we picked.... So our smart guys said let's take the injured Malik Hooker... He obviously has may more upside than a brother of super star JJ Watt...

Is there a chance that Irsay responds to unprecedented failure differently?

Honestly,

Reflecting on the season.... Maybe just maybe it's incredible how Reich squeezed 9 wins out of this Wentz led team. Maybe Reich was Wentz last hope but He just can't follow the instruction of his coach no matter who. He has talent but isn't willing to take the guidance.. IDk

Since I am still obsessed with this loss...how possible is it that the Jaguars were sandbagging all season to put themselves into position to load up in another draft...if they were, this could be a very dangerous team going forward! I remember the turn around the Colts made after Peyton's first season!

Maybe they are poised for a turn around but I dont think they are sandbagging. I dont think players would do that. They are not wasting a year of their careers on the potential to draft some rookies that may or may not work out. Too much work and effort goes into the season, possibility of injury, etc. Front office may want that, but no way players would do that for an entire season.

I agree, but they could implement game plans with little chance of success....there are ways the powers that be could handicap their own team if they wished to do so. But this team, depending on how well they draft and whom they choose for a coach, could be building a very formable opponent for years to come!

o

Correct.

In the 2011 season, Peyton Manning was out for the entire year with a neck injury. The Colts started the season at 0-13. They seemed well on their way to getting the #1 overall pick (the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes) when they won 2 games in a row, and went right down to the wire in the final game of the season ........ a game in which it would have cost them that 1st overall pick had they won it, as the St. Louis Rams also went 2-14 that season. In that final game against the Jaguars, I remember the Colts scoring a touchdown late in the 4th quarter to cut the deficit to 19-13, and then calling timeouts on defense to try to get the ball back when the Jaguars were trying to run out the clock.

What the Colts did in those final 3 games of that season (and especially what they were doing late in the 4th quarter of the season finale) was the antithesis of tanking.

glad we got blown out. not glad that we lost, but if we were to lose, getting blown out was good. might lead to some serious changes rather than thinking we only need to tweak some things.
