Veldheer came in out of retirement and played very well last yr. Fisher is better than Veldheer. But I get it. Fisher is coming off of an injury.

He needed bodies for training camp. He needed vets who could, if need be play. Ballard and Irsay spent A LOT of money on guys who deserved a raise, and there were fewer option for what was left in the cap.

Surprisingly he sat out at least 2 series. I would say that he looked okay, but certainly a huge upgrade over Davenport, who was a turnstile all day.

Glad Fisher had a decent performance. When healthy is kind of like Costanzo steady but not a top tier left tackle. 2013 was a weak draft and was over drafted as the first pick. He eventually developed into an acceptable tackle

Depending on how he plays, I can see the colts signing him to 2 year deal and drafting a replacement.
