RT Braden Smith has a foot injury that cropped up after the game, trainers will monitor that.

Reich says Colts aren't sure of the full ramifications of Braden Smith's foot injury. Does say it's not what Wentz and Nelson dealt with.

Yeah, that’s a great return on that big contract.

Play like complete ass and get hurt doing it.

Outstanding.

Reich: No update on starting RT Braden Smith, who's dealing with a foot injury. Team still evaluating + "we'll see how it goes this week."

"I know if there's any chance Braden can play, he'll play."

CB Xavier Rhodes will practice at some point this week; maybe not today

Getting Fisher in there should be a huge boon. Granted, I'm sure he'll be rusty and he's never played on this line before, but how could he be worse than Davenport.

Yeah, Leonard didn't practice today due to an "ankle" injury. He had surgery on his ankle in the offseason - I wonder if he was held out for rest or his ankle flared up a little from the game. Hopefully it isn't anything more serious than that.

The injury list is long this week.

LB Darius Leonard missed practice again today due to a reported non-COVID illness. S Khari Willis also sat out practice with an illness.

Other players that missed Thursday's practice were:

LG Quenton Nelson - foot / back
RT Braden Smith - foot
CB Xavier Rhodes - calf
DE Kwity Paye - hamstring

A few guys participated on a limited basis:

LT Eric Fisher - Achilles
DE Kemoko Turay - groin
WR Mike Strachan - ankle

Colts have not discussed putting Smith on IR. Reich says Smith’s foot injury is not a bone or anything but declines to go into it further

LG Quenton Nelson and LT Eric Fisher were full participants today

Reich not 100 percent ready to commit to Eric Fisher playing this week, but said that Fisher has had a good week in his first full week

Nelson on his back: "I think it’s definitely something that can get better. I had it fricking great going into camp, and through camp, and when I came back, there was this one incident that I can’t really talk about too much that triggered it."

https://twitter.com/JoelAErickson/status/1438933726784851970

More: "I’ve gotten it better before. ... With a daily routine of treatments, exercises, stretches, among other things, but it’s something I feel confident about in Week 2 after the diagnosis and everything, that can get better. I’m happy with the game plan I have going forward."

https://twitter.com/JoelAErickson/status/1438930337145540613

LB Darius Leonard on his ankle injury: “I’m going to just go out there and continue to do what I can do until it gets to a point where I feel like I can’t.”

Campbell is inactive. I don't think I've ever seen a more snakebit player in my life.

What pains me the most is that draft could have been Montez Sweat and DK Metcalf. And that isn’t a stretch, both positions were need positions and both players albeit somewhat controversial we’re possible picks.

So if it is a high ankle sprain we are pretty much keeping our High first-round pick

If it is a high ankle sprain, he'll be out for more than a week. Years ago I had a high ankle sprain and my doctor told me I would have been better off if I had broken my ankle.

They last forever and are really debilitating if you’re an athlete.
