We spent a lot of draft capital on these guys. They have been hurt a whole lot which has slowed down their development. They are on the last year of their rookie contracts. The only way you are going to know what you have and if you want to sign them is to let them play. Ballard believes in his drafting and I don't think wants to give up on them just yet. Banogu also to a certain extent, although he isn't on his last year. Added to that, as we have seen, you do not get a polished pass rusher very often late in first round or second round. I have no idea of who Ballard is going to pick but I do feel that no matter who it is we are going to see a lot of these guys. One of them needs to make a big jump.

Ballard talked about both players in his pre-draft press conference:

Ballard on DE: "I thought Tyquan really came on last year and played good football. We think he can play good football."
Says Turay has had bad luck "we didn't get to see Turay fully, he had another surgery after the season"
Colts think Turay's problem is fixed

Colts believe Turay will be ready, probably cleared to go by June.
Says this rehab is going much better than the last one.

I have little to no hope for Banagu. Turay and Lewis on the other hand have shown flashes.
It's a contract year for these guys so it's time to step up.

Agreed, at the very least they have shown they have the potential to be depth/rotational players. Banagu needs to show something or fuck off.

Lewis seems like a guy that is a bottom of the roster end/dt.
turay clearly has some talent. just seen too many guys whose bodies can't stay healthy. he looks to be the same.
i have zero hope for banogu

I have a little more hope for Lewis, he did show some last year. Lewis had the highest pressure rate of all dline at OSU, that includes young and boss. Potential is there.
Turay just can’t stay healthy and that usually doesn’t end well.
Banagu can’t get on the field. That’s not a good sign. Spent a 2nd on him.

To early for me to give up hope on any of these guys. I keep thinking about friggin Jerry Hughes. Having said that, it may just be semantics, cause I have very little hope From my perspective if none of these guys make a jump this team is in trouble. It is a numbers game and one out of three should pan out if we drafted right.

Can’t hit on every pick of the draft. What I’ve been saying. If you are hitting 40-45% of the time you are doing a great job.
