Holy shit.....this is harsh. Colts to go 5-11 while the Titans go 12-4 and the Patsies 16-0. I can only imagine they think Luck isn't playing?

I'm assuming that's the case. There's no way 5-11 happens with an even relatively healthy Luck.

Just a dumbass prediction. 16-0 for any team is stupid. And the Colts aren't going 5-11

I don't think that there is 1 national sports writer that knows a damn thing about the Colts!!!! Every last one of them are just interested in the Patsies, Cowgirls, Steelers or Packers!! Just a bunch of dumbasses!!

And the Titans, who haven't beaten the Colts since 1958 ...............

In other news.....Ballard just announced that Luck has started throwing! Hallelujah. Barring a setback he seems to be right on schedule.

You really are not exaggerating and what you say is very true.

If you listen to the NATIONAL sports media shows, they will even admit it Certain teams get ratings. The teams you mentioned, plus the Giants. And occasionally the Jets. that's what they know and what they talk about constantly.

Its the media environment we live in. national shows and papers do not cover all the teams and have no intention of doing so. They offer up teams and items they know will get phone calls, hits, responses, whatever electronic BS measuring device they have, they don't care about it otherwise.

If you want to know about other teams you listen to local media. The national guys don't have a clue about the Colts, Panthers, Bengals, titans, any of these literally any more than we do. In fact for the division teams probably less than we do.

I happen to think the Colts will be better this year than last, assuming Luck is healthy. The secondary is better. The OL is improving. Hankins for the DL is a big signing. Yes there are still huge LB and pass rush questions, but they did not regress to the point where they are winning less than 8 games this season. They aren't going to be a deep playoff team, but they won't be finishing 4th in the AFC south

Good this is exactly what I hope all the "experts" are picking the Colts to do this season

This is exactly how I feel.

This team is not worse on paper than it was last season.

Why everyone is crowning the Titans as the new leader of the division is completely lost on me. Houston is the only team that has actually pushed Indianapolis for the division but somehow Tennessee is the baby face?

Jax goes shopping every offseason ever and it never culminates into anything, Luck owns Tennessee, and the Colts were in both games with Houston last year.

It's been fascinating watching the media turn on Indianapolis after Manning left. Very little positive attention and when we do hear about Indianapolis through national media outlets it's the same things we always hear.

Not only does it appear the media expect the Colts to suck this year, but I've also seen USA Today ranking each position for all the teams, and other than QB and WR, the Colts are darn near last in the league for every other position.

PFF has rated our running backs dead last.....#32. Do I think we are at the top or even middle of the pack? No. But 32? That's crazy.

Half of 53...
carry the 6....
multiple by the root of 3.6847....
divide by infinity and beyond....
.....equals 3.

Math is hard.

I was exaggerating, but they are important. I thought it was 4. Luck, Mewhort, Geathers, and Hooker. I suspect only Geathers will miss the start of season, fortunately.

PFF doesn't produce a single thing that isn't subjective, so all that means is PFF is biased against the Colts RBs.

I think our running backs are bad and near the bottom of the league.

You can't rely on a 33 year old RB as your primary option. Hopefully Mack will emerge and can split carries about 50-50 with Gore.

Not quite true. All of their "grades" are subjective and I am beginning to really lean against trusting them (I know, I know....I have been their biggest fan....)

However, they sometimes use pure # of snaps or pure performance numbers (yards, tackles, etc) as evidence to some of their points and I think that you can trust those types of numbers to be pretty accurate.

But the grades? Yeah, becoming less and less of a fan every month.

That's what happens after years of Grigson, you suck across the board.

Pagano covered up Grigson's shortcomings:rolleyes:

How is Carolina ranked 12th on that list? Kelvin Benjamin sucked last year and there have basically no one behind him. Greg Olsen is good but your primary target can't be a TE.

I'd say it's deserving. Last year they were 23rd and they start this year with a HUGE question mark at QB, which on this team means everything. If Luck is healthy all season, the Colts easily surpass all expectations (except for a few of freaks members) for the season. As for the running backs? They need some serious upgrading at this position.

Looking on the bright side either we prove all of the naysayers wrong or we finally get rid of Clappy and his wood chopping dipshits. Either way we win.

All the evidence to date suggests that Ballard knows what he's doing. If that's the case, Pagano's days are numbered.

Ever since the emergence of 24 hr. sports news, the media has gotten dumber. I only pay attention to the local guys.

Even with broadcasts many fans find it punishing when their team is nationally televised.
