That personal foul on the Raiders player was almost as stupid as what I saw yesterday ........ when a University of Florida player literally threw the game, the season, and a possible berth in the 4-team playoff away by hurling an opponents' cleat down the field after the play was over to give LSU 15 yards and a 1st down. Without that penalty, it would have been 4th down with Florida getting possession of the ball in a tie game with less than 2 minutes left to play in the 4th quarter.

The Colts need to do just that now ...... keep their composure, outplay the Raiders from here on out, and win this game in spite of a very questionable no-call on what looked to be a pass interference on a Raiders player.

On one play, there were 2 really good things done by 2 different Colts players ...... the blitz was picked up on a solid block by the running back, and Philip Rivers stepped up in the pocket to avoid the overall pressure by the pass-rushers which got there pretty quickly (partly because of the blitz/extra pass rusher.)

That play by the Raiders' defensive back to force the incompletion actually helped the Colts more than it helped the Raiders ........ if he had let him catch the ball and tackled him, the Colts would have had to use their final time out and kick the field goal right away. As it was the incompletion stopped the clock, which allowed the Colts keep their timeout in their pocket and run one more play from scrimmage to try to get the TD. It wound up falling one yard shy of costing the Raiders 4 points.

Rivers appears to be able to play effectively in spite of the injury ...... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can continue to do so in the playoff push and the playoffs themselves (should the Colts qualify for the post-season.)
