Hi folks,

Looks like we're certain to at least have the start of an NFL season, so it's time to press on with fantasy football. You'll note I restarted the league a while back, meaning you're automatically back in. I'm just waiting on one of the two promoted users to join and we're full.

The most pressing thing is sorting a draft date and time. I've tentatively gone for Sunday night, August 30, 5pm EDT. I figured a Sunday afternoon/evening would suit you folk best, which is Monday morning for me in New Zealand.
Happy to push it out a few hours later if needed?

Please sing out with requests, concerns, etc.

Also, an update from NFL Fantasy means I've been able to add three reserve slots to our league this season. It's not an additional three bench spots.

Only players who are added to the Reserve/Covid-19 list can occupy these slots. These players will gain “OPT” & “COV” status and can be moved into the three reserve slots.

Given we are drafting after the opt out deadline, we only have to worry about players being added to the Reserve/Covid-19 list during the season, meaning they will gain ''COV" status.

DRAFT ORDER
I will generate the draft order with random.org (as usual) in the next week or so.

Does NFL.com do an autodraft? I may be driving home from another part of the state at that time.

They sure do, you can pre-rank your players and leave in auto. The other option is you could download the NFL Fantasy application on your phone, park up and do some/all of the draft remotely.

DRAFT SUMMARY
When a bottom-half draft slot yields top-half results, that's the sign of a focused GM. Such was the case with Fairmount Farmers, which flipped their ninth overall pick into an expected fourth-place finish in ColtFreaks. They aimed for a roster with balance at key positions, taking a quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers within the first five rounds. By the end of the draft, Fairmount Farmers secured a trio of wide receivers with plenty of room to grow.

Fairmount Farmers might be interested in shopping a WR to upgrade in other areas. Their fourth-ranked WR, DK Metcalf, is projected to be better than the league average at his position.
A fantasy traditionalist, Fairmount Farmers opted for running backs with their first two selections (Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Miles Sanders).
If other NFL.com users are right, Hunter Henry was a steal in the 8th round (88th overall pick versus an ADP of 64.1).
